Liked everything about the property with the exception of that there was no service at the Periodic Table. We were very excited to come back to the property to settle in after a full day and although there were customers that had seemed to be served, we waited around and no one was available or it was closed, perhaps a seasonal thing. Other normal services did not seem to be in place either and it was actually disappointing as we were looking forward to the normal, wonderful service from the property. If there are changes in services, for seasons or other, I would at least show that in reservation listings so that guests know what to expect...especially when we were excited to show the property to family for the first time.

This hotel is a real gem. We have been traveling cross country and have had to stay in boring, nondescript hotels all along the way - except for Hotel Grinnell! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole facility was so charming and clever in its decor. The town of Grinnell is cute and lively. There is a beautiful big park across the street from the hotel and they had a free concert playing that we listened to while eating dinner outside at the hotel restaurant. We were just so surprised to find such a great town and hotel.

The hotel is extremely clean, comfortable and in a great location. It provides a cool, relaxed atmosphere with options for food and fun space for meeting with friends or other guests. We really enjoy the breakfast as it covers everything, and love visiting with the friendly staff. Always look forward to our stays!

The building was so well thought out as an old school turned hotel. Rooms were comfortable, shower/bathrooms were beautifully done. Definitely a great experience! Don’t forget to snoop around to check out what exists beyond your room!

We really don't have any complaints. The only thing would be that we again did not make use of the work out facilities or the fantastic bikes that the Hotel provides...hopefully next time!

Hotel Grinnell provides a creative and comfortable atmosphere with facilities that meet all of a guest's needs and beyond. This was only our second stay with the property, but we had looked forward to our return and were again very pleased. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is fresh and covers all the bases, and the property could not be in a better location.

Very cool renovated old school. New and very clean, but with a lot of character. We liked the bar with the patio outside, the free breakfast, free bikes, complementary coffee and tea, walking distance to town and college.

The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The property is an old school and the owners did a great job of converting it to a hotel while managing keep the charm. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The Periodic Table, the restaurant on site, was a nice place to have some drinks and a light meal. Although it was too cold to enjoy, the patio outside looked lovely.
