I stay at the Guest House Motel quite often. I view it as the best value in a motel in all of Chanute. I am hoping they will continue to keep prices low and affordable going forward. The rooms are always clean. Beds are always comfy. TV reception is very good. Internet reception is good and dependable. The staff is very attentive and helpful. This motel meets my standards in a low-cost room in Chanute Ks. every time. I appreciate you GHM! ..........M.L.D.

Rooms need updating but still good. Not that I didn't like it either. Was very reminiscent of the BEST Westerns of the 70s and 80s.

Excellent value! Plus, I had car trouble when going to leave, housekeeping girl was so considerate and said not to worry about being rushed, she was SO nice and said it was totally fine to be in the lot and that she sincerely hoped I was able to repair the issue and continue on my travels safely. Front desk attendant was very sweet too!! I will DEFINITELY stay there again!! Housekeeping girl also needs commendation from management, just for being such a great, happy, and smile filled asset to the motel!! Thanks again Guest House!!

The room could have been cleaned a little better in the corners of the bathroom. The shower walls needed to be fixed. The bedside lamp was not plugged in. I couldn't find a plug in for it. The previous occupant smoked, so my room smelled. The room needed to be aired out.

The room had a pungent smell of something like a very spicy curry mixed with strong body odor. I don’t write this to be mean but it is what it is. The furniture was heavily worn and chipped. It looked less than furniture I’ve seen at places like Goodwill. The shower did not work properly. The sink was extremely worn and permanently stained. The stopper was broken. The bathtub was permanently stained as well. The walls looked to be yellowed from years of cigarette smoke. I could not smell much over the “spicy BO” odor but it very well once was used for smoking not that long ago The beds were very stiff and very uncomfortable. I have no idea how this place has a such high score of over 8 on this site.

I only liked the location as to where it was in Chanute.

They went above to help us out..first we needed a earlier check-in no problem..next we ended up having car problems and need stay past check out no problem..also asked, make sure we was alright after have car issues..place was extremely clean and will taken care of. Would high recommend anyone staying there..great people that really care about people..not just money..
