Breakfast could have included more items (rather than sweet stuff). Granola bars or cereal bars perhaps. The restaurant for lunch and dinner was excellent however… food and service.

It was very charming and so historic.

The bed was a little stiff. Breakfast selection was good but limited.

I went to Kingsport for a funeral and wanted somewhere historic to stay before I had to drive back to Georgia. This charming inn did the trick! Wonderful staff, very historic and beautiful building and rooms. Felt like I was staying in one of those fancy historic mansions you can tour all over the US, but I got to sleep there! Original furnishings in the rooms; very, very clean. Food at the Tavern for dinner was excellent as well. Side note—I collect ghost stories professionally and was hoping to stay in the “haunted” room—I didn’t book in time to nab it, but if that’s something you’re interested in definitely ask the staff about the ghost stories here!

The mattress was very uncomfortable. It was hard on one side and saggy on the other. The breakfast was very disappointing, especially since there is a restaurant on site. As a diabetic, there was nothing i could eat, as it was all carbs.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Inn was clean. The room was pleasant and decorated with Christmas. We will definitely return.

The elevator was helpful, but it would have been even better if it went to the third floor.

I loved the friendly staff And the perfect mix of modern amenities with antique furnishings in such a beautiful old building!

Stayed in a corner suite and had to put up with motorcycle and car noise at the red-light below us.

The retro look with modern amenities was very interesting. Absolutely the best all-around stay for the money. Having the restaurant in the hotel was an added plus. Great food, great experience, wonderful stay.

The hotel and tavern were awesome, but most of the shops in historic Rogersville are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so be aware of this if you want to visit for that reason....

Fantastic historic hotel, and tavern, too. Very clean and very comfortable and very friendly, located right in the heart of Rogersville.

The electronics in the room were difficult to figure out, for me, at least. I am older and not used to a Keurig type coffee maker, plus the Roku type device was different enough from mine at home that I struggled to figure out both of the above. Kinda frustrating... maybe detailed printed instructions in-room for those items would have helped.

We thought it was still a bed and breakfast and expected a hot meal, but the continental breakfast was superior to most, especially the pumpkin roll and banana bread that was apparently homemade fresh.

    I wouldn't change a thing!

Historic downtown at top of Main Street, great location. Historic hotel, original hardwood flooring, huge room with furnishings that were carefully selected to match the historic setting. Very comfortable. On site restaurant serves excellent dinners, great menu variety, large portions, not overpriced. Even better than everything else, staff was welcoming, helpful, so friendly, made us feel at home.

Our only 'issue' was in choosing the Andrew Jackson suite, which we simply didn't know was in the front of the hotel--right above the main street, which was quite noisy throughout the night as loud cars and trucks passed. It also seems there was a delivery to the hotel very early in the morning, and when the truck set its brakes... it was very loud.

The hotel is magnificent for those who enjoy an historical feel.

I can’t think of an unpleasant moment during our stay at Hales Spring Inn.

We had such a lovely experience at The Hales Spring Inn that we decided to book a second night. We enjoyed our drives through the mountains during the day, then returning to the Inn for delicious dinners with welcoming staff. The beds and rooms are dreamy. Highly recommended.
