We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThese are not negatives per se...just realities of boutique hotels. If you like the boutique experience (we do) then you will be OK with these trade-offs. For instance, there are very few drawers and hanging spaces in the room. This allowed the room to have a clean and modern look and feel. It didn't bother us, but you might have to adjust if you have a lot of stuff or are staying for a long time. We stayed for 3 nights but we are used to packing light. No refrigerators or microwaves in the room (typical for boutique hotels). The hotel is modern so if you want a New England experience (i.e. older inn etc.) then this will definitely not be it. FYI parking is an extra charge and valet only...which was fine with us.
I loved the free coffee downstairs in the mornings and water filling stations on each floor. A clever and eco-friendly way to supply these things to guests. Who needs the (possibly) dirty coffee makers in each room anymore? And I liked not being upsold for extra bottled water in my room like most hotels. They also have a cool feature where you place your room card into a special switch in the room as a way to save energy costs. I didn't use the gym but it looked comparable to most hotel gyms (and had windows). Hotel location is perfect for walking to many great restaurants and shops, drugstores etc. It's a little further walk to the mansions so we drove there instead. Even though our room didn't face the water, each floor has a lounge with chairs that face the water so you can hang out there if you want. Staff was super nice and helpful.

Location was great. On the water almost. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants. The hotel was modern and clean. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. We liked having the parking in the garage.

United StatesThere's no bar or restaurant onsite. Although there is one on the other side of the hotel it runs independent from the hotel so you can't bring drinks up to your room or order any room service. This would've been an extra bonus.
The staff was excellent. Warm and helpful. The front desk manager gave us an upgraded room free of charge. That never happens to us! The hotel is right in the center of Newport and you can walk to everything which is convenient. The room and the whole hotel was nicely decorated and spacious.

United StatesWe loved how the hotel was centrally located to everything; we were able to walk everywhere. We also really liked the modern industrial look of the hotel- the rooms, the lobby, and the bridge/lounges on each floor were clean and tastefully done. The lobby receptionists were accommodating, helpful, and pleasant. There really wasn't anything we didn't like.
