How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast had an assortment of items, cereals and yogurts the best. The coffee was very watery. The sweet items were awfully sweet. The waffles were flat and heavy.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was agreeable.

The shower water temperature was a little wonky and didn’t really get that hot and would sometimes turn pretty cold throughout the shower, but otherwise everything else was fine.

The lobby smelled of cigarettes, the pool was closed, the check in took close to a half hour not sure if it was a computer issue or staff training.
The room was spacious, comfortable beds.

There was construction so we had to go around the industrial park to get in. The pool wasn't open and it appeared to be on their website. Our room had a faint odor from the air conditioner so I used an air freshener to mask it.
Breakfast was pretty good considering covid reg. The housekeepers were helpful with taking out garbage, towels, and giving us fresh ones. Great parking!

There wasn't anything we didn't like.
We were driving from Portland, ME back to Pittsburgh, PA, but since we left Portland late we needed a room to break up the ride back home. We found the Allentown Park Hotel, which had numerous excellent reviews for cleanliness, with rooms available so we opted for a stay. We were glad we did. The room, and the entire property, were extremely clean. The room was comfortable and had a great shower.

Wish salt water pool was open - did not know that it was closed when we booked, but the hotel let us know shortly after booking that it was closed. Gym was sparse and outdoor amenities (grills, horseshoes, sitting area, basketball) were too close to highway to be of any enjoyment. It's in an industrial area - you can walk to some restaurants in terms of proximity, but there is no sidewalk so you'll end up walking on the street. Convenient location, but not picturesque in any way.
Stayed here to attend the Steel City EDP Soccer Tournament. When we arrived, were told that breakfast would be served at 8 the next day, which was after the time listed on the website and well after we needed to depart for a tournament. Person at front desk took note and agreed that something would be provided for us at 7. Ultimately the accommodation was not needed - breakfast (which had a number of decent grab and go choices despite the precautions) was served at normal time because I assume a number of people were in the same situation. Room was super clean, and beds/pillows were very comfortable. 24 hour on demand coffee was nice perk.

Breakfast ends too early
It used to be cleaner … But it was clean enough. Breakfast ends too early I travel by myself to a Allentown your hotel is off the beaten path. It’s also late when I arrive, it felt a little Erie the front desk was unoccupied. But on the plus side ….I can always get a cup decaf tea before bed.

We booked the property for the pool and it was closed! Issues with the hot water in one room, and loud guests one night. Nice hotel
