Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesBreakfast! Not a good variety. Wasn't enough to accommodate us. Asked the cook if we could get more, we were told it wasn't anymore. Paying for a room that was almost 200$ a night in a very small town was absolutely ridiculous. Couldn't find front desk staff. Pool was very filthy.

I just stayed one night. I liked they had bags with food at the coffee station. I left at 4am and was able to get a coffee and one of their brown bags . The front desk staff were nice and the facility looked nice in the common areas. My room was nice and clean.

United StatesThe carpet in our room was disgusting. It was so sticky everywhere in the room. The carpet was actually wet. Soaked our socks. Room could use a good cleaning. Sad housekeeping can make such a difference to how you view your stay.

United StatesThe front counter, management and the check in process. The staff could not check me in properly with the credit card I wanted nor explained there would be an additional hold. I had to go through so much at the beginning between them and Booking.com, it was horrible after driving over 14 hours. Then having the manager call and getting multiple charges was a shock and stress for my trip.
The property was exceptional and very clean. In a good location and the breakfast buffet was exceptional thanks to the young lady who maintains it. She was very friendly and helpful. She made the stay better.

United Statesnot up to Hampton Inn standards. the both room needed a bad update. the shower water controls were loose and felt like they would fall off. the shower spicket was 3-4 inches away from the shower wall allowing water to get behind it. the bathroom vanity leg next to the toilet was stained and gross. the mirror was brushed aluminum that was stained on the bottom half of the frame. the bed was hard and uncomfortable. the breakfast was not up to Hampton Inn standards and was a little sparse. the price we paid was above what was quoted on Brookings App. the lower price quoted by booking app was the reason that this hotel was selected. disappointed by the process.

United StatesI was unhappy that the charge was not what I was told it was going to be. I am a Hilton Honors member, and my reservation said the cost for 3 nights would be $372.09. $316.01 for the room, 41.08 for the tax and $15 for city tax. We had to return a day early and so on Sat told them we had to leave Sunday. When we checked out, she said she would send us an emailed receipt. I asked for the money amount, and she said it would be on the receipt. She did not want to give me a receipt. Have never had that happen before. When the receipt came the bill showed $109 +8.72 st tx, 5.45 Loctx, 5.00 motel fee for 1st night and $150.00 room charge, 12.00 st tx, 7.50 Loctx and 5.00 motel fee for 2nd night. My estimate did not say room was $174.50 per night. I am sure that is why she would not give me the bill. She did not want to have to go into it AND SHE WAS NOT BUSY. WHEN WE WALKED UP, SHE WAS TALKING TO ANOTHER EMPLOYEE AND THEY WERE LAUGHING. Not a good way to do business and get come back business or recommendations. We live 7 minutes from the ocean in a tourist town that has a Hampton Inn-I will no longer recommend it to family, friends or visitors. Don't want them to leave feeling like we did. We knew something was up but figured she just wanted to talk to the other employee.
The breakfast was excellent. The kitchen was clean and well supplied. The room was clean and well equipped.
