Expensive valet car parking with an app which was confusing to use with little option to find other parking really adds to being an expensive stay for one night and really is too much to ask guest to pay on top of an expensive room!

Parking. If you are staying there and pay for parking at check in you should always be guaranteed a parking spot for the length of stay. You should not have to worry everytime you need to leave the hotel that you may not have a parking spot when you get back. There is no other close parking around there either.

The lobby is too far and confusing for Hampton guests to reach there for any eateries or oven use. The rooms don't have a microwave oven. That's a big miss in this Hampton

I left a wake-up call and thought the hotel missed it because the time change was that night. I didn't know the clocks were changed automatically, but then the wake-up call actually came an hour late. Also, I found the room decor and appointments a little sterile, not very warm.

The breakfast was quite good for a free continental breakfast. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I needed to arrive before check-in time because I was going to an event just north of the city on a tight schedule, and they let me check in about an hour early. The parking guys were excellent, too.

Was told we could have late check out at 2:30 - 3 at no charge when I called the day before due to the marathon starting so late. Upon arrival, they said the charge was $75 for 11- 1pm & would charge way more to stay past 1pm. Disappointed their call center & front desk are not in sync.

Room was great. Nice size, clean and great location. Parking was expensive, especially for this area. I didn’t know only Homewood suites had views of the Canal and they had better (hot) breakfast. It’s weird being at the front desk and wasn’t offered the same services as Homewood Suite customers. Maybe check in should be separate.

I was there for GenCon, so prices were bumped up. It was very expensive for a Hampton Inn.

The breakfast was okay; nothing exceptional, but fresh and decent. I expected the breakfast area to be crowded, but it wasn't - I never had a problem finding a seat. My room faced IUPUI, which was unexpectedly nice, with two broad green lawns. I had read some reviews that said parking was a problem, but when I went there was a brand new parking deck, with plenty of space. It was about 1/2 mile to the convention center, which provided a nice healthy walk morning and evening.

I was not informed by the front desk when I checked in that there was a $32 per night charge for parking. Discovered that on my bank account the next day. Should have been informed.

Beautiful hotel right on the canal in a gorgeous old church building. Great job on the renovation.

Our remote control for the TV was broke. Called the front desk and was informed that maintenance would be up. They never showed. Either the front desk dropped the ball or no maintenance on a Saturday night. We had to call the front desk twice. That was the only issue with the room and stay.

I didn’t like that it’s a $32 fee to park in their garage, and it’s not even a guarantee that you’ll be able to park. We paid for it for two nights and the first night, we come back from a concert and the whole garage is full. No spot saved for us even though we paid. Wish we would’ve known it wasn’t a guaranteed spot. But that’s the only issue we had at all.

The room was great. Bathroom beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Location right off the highway pretty much and VERY close to sooo many downtown things
