How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Cleanliness….there was a set of fake eye lashes on our sink area so makes me wonder how well they actually cleaned…probably not so much if they missed this!

Shower was low pressure, towels were out by the pool when we went there, had to send someone to the front desk for more.
Staff were great, price was reasonable, and the location was great for the ren fair.

The staff was the best! I stay on the road enough to know good from bad to excellent. This stay was far above Theo average. The only thing that would make it better for me would be a little softer bed… thanks to Richard and Angle……

I would definitely go back.
The property was well managed, clean and quiet. The food was very good and the staff helpful. The location was easy to find. The beds very comfortable and great shower.

The bed was so hard. Like, extra firm. The hotel was so busy and the buffet was so small. The floor above us was super noisy through the night so we didn't sleep.
The pillows were soft, the staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and they were accommodating to the special request of adjoining rooms.

It was a good location for visiting Valleyfaire. Had many restaurants nearby to choose from. The staff was very helpful and let us check in early and then found us a new room when the a/c wasn't working on a 90 degree day. We were happy with our stay.

Stayed here after attending a concert at Mystic Lake Casino right down the road because we didn’t want to spend $350 just to sleep after the concert. The hotel was thoroughly cleaned and staff was welcoming and friendly. Also a great place to stay right in between valley fair, Canterbury park, and mystic lake.

Some Staff, getting charged twice for the room. Not warm drinks at the reception. Then the employee who was going to check me out was really rude and called me a lier.

wish the connecting doors was a bit more thicker or possibly soundproof. i can hear my neighbor snore but I understand that sometimes people just snore very loud. The bathroom/shower can use a bit of an upgrade such as appearances, appliances like matching shower head, make sure there’s no rust or dried out water mark. not sure why or bathroom was sticky but it was. the bed and pillows needs to be replaced. the mattress was hard/firm and made quiet the squeaky noise since you can tell it’s was still spring bed - which you can feel the springs. there was no cushion on the bed/mattress. the pillows needs to be replaced to new and more fluffier pillows. pillows to me was uncomfortable and feels like I slept on top of hard mattress.
the staffs was nice and friendly. location was right off the highway which is convenient for travelers. The lobby was nice and clean. If you like connecting rooms, this place has that for you, which is great for families.

I returned to your hotel due to my previous positive breakfast experience as you had real sausage and bacon plus other great food. This was very disappointing because it was turkey sausage and no bacon. I am all about food when I choose to stay at a hotel. This did not satisfy me at all. I will not to stay here in November when I return to Shakopee.
