The staff was amazing and Dwyane at the front desk was possibly the sweetest and most helpful person ever! So appreciated the extra mile he went to make us feel at home the moment we entered the building

The property confirmed that we would have a handicapped accessible room, but couldn't provide the room reservation we made.

This property was conveniently located for an overnight stop for our drive to OBX. When the hotel confirmed our handicapped accessible room but didn't provide one, they comp'd the room night. Alvin at the front desk did this without us having to ask for any consideration. Also, the lady who takes care of the breakfast area is FABULOUS !!! She treats guests with excellent food preparation and keeps everything clean. She was VERY accommodating.

We weren't told about ongoing renovations at booking time. We had a drill on our heads every morning. When we complained, they told us that the renovations were from 9am to.5pm. Nevertheless, they started to work every day before 7 am. We stayed from Monday to Friday and we could not rest at all. Very disappointing !!

Everything!!! The elevator smells like piss , the room floors was already stained up . The phone in the rooms didn’t work , so we couldn’t call the front desk had to keep going downstairs . The microwave in one of the rooms didn’t work . We didn’t have tissue , only one wash cloth and several towels . The bed my kids were gonna sleep on had a stain. I wish I had pictures and videos.

The room had a little musty smell to it, some of the wallpaper seams were coming apart in the bathroom.

The breakfast was good I would have like some cut fruit the only thing they had were oranges and bananas. The location was good for work. It would have been nice to have had coffee and tea available throughout the day and into the early evenings.

the furniture and decor in the room was sort of old fashioned. it was dark and slightly depressing. although it was clean! most Hampton inns are bright and white and modern. so i guess i expected something a little different. this was the first time on a vacation that i couldn't wait to get out of the room. one of the staff came to my room in less than 20 mins of us being there, asking me to stop "bouncing a ball" because it was disturbing other guests?? . We had literally just got in the room and the sound she heard was from something falling on the floor. the walls are THIN and we could hear every conversation in the room next to us even though they weren't talking or being loud. not what i expected
