Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe drapes only closed halfway, and even though there was an inner curtain, we would've preferred if we could have closed them fully for better privacy. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
The staff was very courteous and personable. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a great value for all the amenities that were included.

United StatesThe cost was higher that what we usually pay in Manchester, but that being said, the full free breakfast, location and amenities make up for it. My only complain is I wish we could leave our dog in the hotel room (in a crate) while we run out to explore town and eat dinner.
EXCELLENT LOCATION - Right across the street from a grocery store, gas station and Dunkin. Can easily walk to town for restaurants, shops and activities THIS HOTEL HAS EVERYTHING!! - Free HOT Breakfast which included omlets, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, fruit and make your own waffles! Sooooo much food and it was really good food, worth the increased room cost alone just for this fabulous breakfast. But wait, it gets better... FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, Coffee, Tea, and Hot Coco all day in the lobby!!! THEY TAKE PETS! - Lots of green space around the hotel to walk your dogs, including bags. The only downside is they said you can't leave your pet alone in the room when you go out. INDOOR POOL, HOT TUB & FITNESS CENTER - All really good, yes the pool is super small but it's great, and the gym was really well stocked with equipment, treadmills, weights, etc. Had everything I needed to do a full hour workout.
