Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesMostly an unresponsive staff. I sent two simple messages, one about amenities and the other about a late check in. These weren’t answered, and no one picked up the phone when I called. Never having seen the place, this made us nervous. Staff (except breakfast helper) were minimally attentive/pleasant. Bare bones housekeeping, a broken ice machine on our floor and low batteries in remote. No hair dryer in room, which I think of as standard for a chain like this. I was told that “we’re still in the changeover “ meaning Comfort inn bought the property from Hampton Inn. The smoke alarm went off at 5am and again at 5:20. Complete with bright strobe lights. Explanation? Kitchen oven was malfunctioning. Not very restful; no apologies.
Great Toledo location. Quiet but close to area attractions. From lobby, looks nice, decorated simply and tastefully.

United StatesOnly one thing. The little “holding tank” in the mini-coffee pot wasn’t clean. It looked like someone had heated up something other than water, like a fruit drink. There was a pink residue. Other than that, the place and my stay was PERFECT and an exceptional Value!
Modern decor in the Lobby, and clean. The room was crisp & clean and THE PERFECT TEMPERATURE when I walked in! the bed was very comfy. It was quiet. The staff - EVERY person - made eye contact, smiled, and greeted me. That was “a first” for me, and a really nice touch! The keys worked. Chrck-in and Check-out was a breeze!

United StatesThe breakfast was not very good. Selection didn't seem fresh (fruit) and limited supply. The employees (a man and a woman were looking at my family like "hurry up and go". It was still during the breakfast hours. Not welcoming. I was charged twice for the stay of one of the nights, but the credit card company corrected the error on their part for that.
