How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

If the alarm in the room had not gone off the first morning we were there,

Room felt slightly warm but everything else was great!!!
Staff was very friendly. I got a text checking on me when i got to my room. Check in was super quick. Facilities were very clean, nice. Breakfast was great!

The hallway leading to my room which was on the way to the pool smelled of chlorine a bit.
My original room wasn’t ready when I arrived but I was given a larger bed without hesitation and the King sized bedroom was not over crowded with furniture.

The bathroom could use a makeover and the windows don’t open so a long stay without fresh air in room was tricky, but we simply propped open the door each day for a bit and the hallways always smelled great!
The property had everything we needed for a weeks stay. The breakfast was wonderful, the outside courtyard was beautiful and a wonderful place to sit, enjoy a meal or just get fresh air. The gym had two Peleton bikes (among other equipment) which was a great surprise and the lobby was stocked with many things like food, desserts, medicine, etc. The beds were comfortable and the fridge and microwave and long counter with sitting area were so convenient. The staff was always busy making sure everything was wonderful- always fresh breakfast choices no matter the time, cleaning tables and the courtyard. They thought of and are on top of everything here! Wonderful experience.

Extremely helpful & welcoming staff. Giselle and Lily at Reception went 'the extra mile' to help me sort out a technical issue I was having with my European mobile phone and also were so kind and supportive as I had travelled for a family funeral.

The bathroom itself was a bit bare bones. For its size, there could have been more room to hang or set things. A little more color on the walls would be nice tool. A bigger/taller toilet would be a big benefit.
After a really bad experience at another hotel, everything was outstanding. This was a true suite. It was spacious. The rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

Lady at front desk was very helpful when we had faulty air conditioner in one of our two rooms. Went above and beyond to correct problem and got us in new room. Cannot remember her name, but it started with an E. Very friendly.

The bathroom was big enough to fit a stand alone shower in the corner and a tub where the shower now stands. I wish that had been the case. The shower left something to be desired.
The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious. Breakfast was good. Quiet. The hot tub was nice to soak in to soothe our muscles (since there is no tub in the room)Staff is very friendly and efficient.

It smelled like old sneakers were in our room. it could have been the AC or something in the rug. I told Lili and she gave us a discount upon checkout.
it was a great location, everything is close by yet the setting is among trees and away from traffic and street noise. ample parking. the room was very clean, beds were comfortable and the accommodations were superb. great breakfast that is free. we sat courtyard which is beautiful. There is also a beautiful pool and weight room. The counter person Lili was a wonderful hostess and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She deserves cudo’s for her kindness and empathy. she cares and it shows.

There should be a garbage can under the outer bathroom sink. Kitchen garbage can too tiny.

I was pleased with everything about the place. The food was delicious, well-stocked and replenished promptly. It was like everything used to be pre-covid. The creamer I like wasn't out. The lady who helped me showed me it that the box wasn't there, so she didn't have any. I understood. She did not stop looking and leave it. She went to another storage place and found another box and was able to put out the creamer I preferred. She didn't have to do that, but this is they type of help they have. The room was nice and clean. I was near the pool entrance, like I requested. The pool is down it's own hallway, so it was pretty quiet. There were a lot of gynmasts staying here for the State competition, but it was quiete. The breakfast/lounge space was beautiful. The fireplace really added to the ambiance of the room. It was well lit and clean. They had sanitizing/cleaning wipes out on a shelf if you felt the need to use one. The reception workers were pleasant and polite. I really was impressed with everything about this Hampton Inn. Thank you!!
