Decent enough place but next time I'll want better service and better building

The building is in an ugly place. The entrance is by the dumpsters and the cart charging station. The room had a view of the mountains. A decent place to eat outside but we missed the spectacular views of the bay and the cliffs. There is a restaurant, but it was closed much of the time we were there. A severe lack of bell boys to help with the luggage and pick you up from the beach. Also the North of the island lost a lot of businesses to Covid. You must go south for Ziplining, Helicopter rides and even boat rides. Also we did not book in advance so our choices were limited.

Room was a suite of two rooms two baths and two balconies and one kitchen. Everything was clean and ready for use. Grocery shopping was 5 minutes away. Traffic to the South was not bad.

The living room couch is not that comfortable but not a game changer it would be nice to have foot stools on the patio as well. Really did like every thing and the bed was great.

The view and peacefulness on the property. Easy to get to the beach and the beach was not crowded. The balcony’s are lovely and you can enjoy leaving the patio doors open because it is a quiet resort.

There really wasn't anything we didn't like about the resort. There was a restaurant that was not part of the resort that is pretty pricey and the food was not that great we felt like.

We loved the pool area. So nice!! Loved that they would take you down to the beach and bring you back up again. My wife has MS and isn't able to walk very good so that was really nice!

There was no breakfast. The only restaurant opens at 3PM. Our unit is likely in the worst location among the whole complex. It was totally deceptive about the location as promised "ocean-viewing unit when you call to request". The majority of the units in the resort does not have ocean view. When we complained after we checked in. The on-call manager promised to "move us to a better unit next day". Of course, it did not happen. There was semi-dead roach on the floor. There was non-draining sink in the bathroom. The unit swells like rotten tomatoes. We checked out two days earlier and the property refused to refund us.

None. The reception was poor. The manager was not helpful at all.

There was a musty smell in the room. This was as a result of being in an area of high humidity (Princeville), and the room having old carpeting that over time gathered a musty smell. There is not much to do about this in this area. Either keep the humidity low by running the A/C (but this is very costly), or renovate such rooms to be made of materials that are not affected by humidity. Some people may be fine with the slight smell, but others may be allergic to it and not want to live in such rooms.

The location is excellent. The hotel is close to a beach backing into Hanaley Bay and it has direct access to it (better location than most accommodations in Princeville). The facilities are also nice (many tennis courts, two pools, etc)

The restaurant and bar were not open during our stay which we were unaware of that being the case when we booked the property. This was an amenity we would've liked to have used.

The location, view, privacy and size of the condo was amazing. We loved the pool as well.

If I would've known that the hot tub wasn't working, the restaurant was closed 2 days a week, the pool bar was closed, and that there was a "planned power outage" one day, then I would NOT have booked this place. It was super expensive and most of the amenities offered were not available. Very disappointing...

Lovely views of the bay, mountains, and resort property was beautiful and well-maintained.

No one used the pool because it was freezing cold. No access to food on site. Getting to the beach and back to the room was a pain. Extremely loud roosters at 2:30, 430, 5:30 in the morning right outside our door. Staff mentioned im the only one that’s ever brought up the loud noise of roosters - which I do not believe. Oven door was broken, phones were broken. Found many bugs in the room.

The view from my room was amazing. We liked being in Princeville. We liked the size of the room and vaulted ceilings.

Facilities are poor, with only one bar open. And this bar only opens at 1500 and then there is a huge queue and a 90 min time cap once seated…not exactly relaxing if you’re on holiday! Expensive for little facilities.

Excellent room, with good self catering facilities. lovely view of the mountains.

Our room was in a back area, on the edge of the resort. We had to cross the maintenance facility (with signs of "danger" all over) to reach our room. During the morning we use to wake up with the noise of golf cars being fixed. Lots of stairs going up and down - no elevator - in a place that was dirty and dark. That was definitely not what I paid for, and what I saw in the photos! To make things worse, the resort had no water and food. Everything around was closed. Be aware before you rent a room on this place that it might be located not in a good area like you see on the photos. Also, bring food, otherwise you might starve.

Coffee in the lobby? I know it's not available due to Covid, but that would have been a nice amenity to figure out a covid-friendly way to serve coffee outside the rooms.

The grounds and the scenery were exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff made this a wonderful place to stay for first time in Kauai.

Many of the resort amenities were not avaiable and staff, including the concierge were not friendly or helpful. No transportation is available (ie hotel shuttle, taxis, etc). Very limited food service on site, no food shop on site and no shopping service available. No programmes or activities , the swim up cocktail bar is closed. It's a resort in name only. It is too isolated not to offer food service or food access of any kind on site. It is not sustainable to force tourists to drive a private vehicle to this remote resort and all over the island to get to basic services like food. This is not helping with climate change. They need to rethink their offering.

Really nice rooms, pool, tennis and lication near a beautiful little beach. Great views from our room.
