Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room was terrible. There was wallpaper falling off the wall and push pins holding it up to the wall. The front door didn’t line up properly so the deadbolt didn’t latch and the safety lock also had loose screws. The bathroom tub had missing caulk and moldy caulk along the tub surround and holes in the tile. The bathroom door had a 1-2” gap at the top and must not have been the right door. The bed was comfy. There were no freed up outlets to plug in our phones or laptop anywhere. There was a map to the city but no food directory.
The breakfast wasn’t what we thought it was. All they had was a few pastries in wrappers and coffee. No juices, fruit, milk or juices.

United StatesNo breakfast was served. Booked for more than one night and the room was not cleaned in between nights I stayed, had to ask for clean towels. No elevator, not a problem for me; however, might be for someone else.
Location was very close to the family I was visiting. Close to downtown Hancock Maryland. Overall the room was clean; however, the building is very old and needs remodeled.

United StatesTheir booking said that it came with breakfast but once again no breakfast. As a matter of fact the guy at the front desk said that they quit serving breakfast for good. We always try to book super 8 because of their breakfast but if this is the case we will no longer book super 8. False advertising.

United StatesThe coffee was ok, but only offerings at breakfast bar were packaged pastries and granola bars. Fresh fruit, like apples or oranges would be great.
We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the bike trail, and thoroughly enjoyed our rides. We spent little time in the hotel. Despite Wyndham sign on front door stating the that masks were required in common spaces indoors, neither hotel staff nor other guests complied. Maintenance was badly needed in the bathroom, where the shower head leaked all over the floor.

United StatesThe facility is run down, very old. There was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom it was sitting on top of the counter. The television and wifi were not functioning. The person I was to stay with would not stay and continued his ride to get home. I tried the coffee when I woke up in the morning and it was terrible, the breakfast was not ready on time.
The location was suitable for where I needed to be, but, it was not close to any facilities, ie places to eat, places to pick something up.

United StatesThe hallway smelled like paint . There was a wire for the lights hanging in font of my door , I had to duck under it every time I went in or out of my room. In the morning I forgot about it and got hit in the face with the wire . I know there is renovation going on but the wire could of / should of been secured above the door.
The breakfast was a danish and coffee, better then nothing.

United StatesNo cups, needed soap, the blanket was torn & looked like it was used as a ground cloth. Dining room was closed so no breakfast. They should have told us about that when we checked in. We could have picked something up when we went out for dinner the previous evening. Staff made excuses and downplayed the conditions. 👎

United StatesThis hotel was a bit disappointing. The whole place was quite dingy. The lobby smelled terribly of cigarette smoke which was concerning as my husband and I are both allergic. But fortunately our room didn't smell. The check in staff was a hot mess, took a considerable amount of time to check in. The exterior and neighborhood made me question the safety of our vehicle in the parking lot overnight. Overall, you get what you pay for.
The price was fair, but I wouldn't stay here again. For slightly less we stayed at a newly renovated hotel in another city.

United StatesAir conditioning unit emits strong smell of mildew. Stairwell smells of sewage. Bathtub pipes make rapid water-hammer noises all the time. Highway noise is loud because of a few vehicles that have been modified to be loud, including ridiculous motorcycles. Coffee was barely drinkable. Please add the little tubs of creamer rather than the powder.
Good proximity to the C&O canal bike path. Friendly and capable staff. Interior door to hallway, rather than 'motel' type direct entrances.
