Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesStaff and management policies
Great location. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable. Parking is tight. Front desk staff not very accommodating. They charge extra for everything. Including charging to replace towels and bedding left with any stains. And $150 security deposit is not only an authorization, but actual charge that won’t get refunded for 7 to 10 BUSINESS days after checking out. $35/hr for late checkout starting at 11am. Any request seemed like a burden on front desk (owners?) including a denied request for a third coffee cup in a room for up to four people which only had two cups. Manager/owner enters room without proper notice. Knocks and using master key, immediately opens door with NO time to respond, despite having a “Do not disturb” sign on our door. :( It’s a nice facility, but I would not stay there again due to the poor service and policies of the management running it.

United StatesStaff is not very accommodating to small requests. Request for an extra cup was not provided. (4 person room with only 2 ceramic cups.) We had 3 people in our group. During middle of our stay, the Manager knocked once and used his master key to enter our room immediately without waiting for a response. Not cool! Request for a late (1 extra hour) checkout at noon was denied. We were told to checkout on time or be charged $35/hour up to 2 hours for late check outs. We were there for 5 days. They charge a $150 security deposit which will get processed by your credit card company as a purchase, not an authorization. We checked out eight days ago and still have not received the refund for the deposit, although they claim to have processed it the day we left. And finally, they charge a expensive damaged/replacement fee for towels, sheets, pillow cases, and washcloths that are stained. So I had to wash the dirt stains from towels that we put on the floor, because the floors were so dirty they left black marks on wet towels. We would not stay at this facility again.
Great location. Walkable 99%. 2 blocks to grocery store and many restaurants and entertainment. Rooms are big with either a kitchen or jacuzzi hot tub in the room. Free parking was nice. Special arrangements were set up for late night arrival.

United StatesThey did not have an elevator so it was upsetting having to climb the suitcases upstairs. Also, the roof repairmen had their equipment lying around with a lot of nails in the parking lot that could be damaging to the tires.
This room was good, the bed and jacuzzi were great for relaxing and the chimney was a nice touch. Overall it was a good experience with housekeeping checking in daily.

United StatesNo breakfast was offered (thought it was). With lows in the teens and 20s, the bed had a sheet, light blanket and light bedspread. The wall heater is loud and doesn't heat evenly so we either roasted (and waste energy) or froze. No spare blankets in the room - we got smart the second night and asked for extra blankets. Sink outside bathroom was strange. Parking lot is small - returned about 11pm Friday night and had to park on the street.
No breakfast - see below. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of towels. Room was very clean. which is always appreciated.

United StatesCould here the guests talking outside. Not sure if they can do anything about that sound proofing? Not really the hotels fault. But it was snowing at 3 to 4 in the morning so can't blame the hotel guests for that.
Kitchenette with microwave and full size refrigerator with freezer. Convenient location. Ice machine, A/C worked good, fairly quiet. Wifi decent signal. Not real fast but better than most national chains and other hotels throughout the state.

United StatesWhen I saw their pictures, I chose them because I had a small kitchen, but it was so small, and the table was only a small size for two people. The room was generally so dark And they have LCD TVs but not Smart TVs in a good wifi environment you'll watch youtube or netflex on your mobile phone. TVs on the wall are like ornaments.

United StatesI was put in a room designed for people with disabilities and I didn't need that type of room. When I mentioned it wasn't needed I was told there was a large party and they had the other rooms. There wasn't a sink in the bathroom, only a super mini sink in the small kitchenette. And we had to take out our own trash or they would charge a cleaning fee.
Close to restaurant, beach and casinos.

USAThere were some minor maintenence issues such as burned out bulbs and a broken curtain rod. Outside, much of the non-slip strips on the stairs were missing. Overall the exterior looked old and maybe in need of repair.
Most everything. I expected the stairs, upper walkway, and room floor to creak and feel weak, but everything was solid as a rock! The room was clean and quiet. Although we didn't need it, there was a small kitchen complete with dishes, etc.

United StatesThe staff seemed complacent and was going through the motions. Witnessed a fist fight in the parking lot and was approached by a non guest giving me a JW pamphlet. Encountered multiple black bears, dog wouldn't go to the bathroom.
The room was fantastic for the price, but that's because of the fires though. It was real close to places.

United StatesIt wasn’t immaculately clean, BUT nothing we couldn’t deal with. There was little notes everywhere with “rules” or regulations, which I thought were overboard. Kind of obnoxious. It was VERY expensive, but also a big weekend in Tahoe. I wouldn’t normally pay $518 + $150 deposit for an Inn!
The room was decorated and furnished nicely! The little semi-kitchen was a nice touch, as I wasn’t expecting it!

ColombiaRoom was meh, really dark and ugly, Hostel doesn't have any area besides the parking, no public park or beach close. the beach that is close charges 50USD per person, and, of the 10+ beaches I visited, is the dirtiest , smallest, and also the one with less view to the lake, despite it's name (lakeview), as it has a breakwater.
Cleaners were very thorough, the area has many restaurants to choose, it was quiet at night, and it had freezer, microwave and a mini kitchen.
