The owners were extremely kind and personable. The mountain lodge had even more amenities than we had thought. Great rest and relaxation place with perfect access to the outdoors!

The walls are pretty thin so we could hear the family next door. Didn't prevent us from sleeping though.

Not their fault at all, but it was VERY difficult to leave due to the road conditions. The road is very much sloped so any snow/ice made driving out nearly impossible. However, some very kind locals towed us out so we were able to leave safely (eventually). Just make sure you have the right tires!

The whole experience felt very personalized - the owners truly do care about your well-being. The breakfast was wonderful and there were so many fun activities to do at the lodge! Overall, this stay was for a very good value and we would stay again :)

There was nothing to dislike.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and the decor was very nice. The lodge had a den with a fireplace in the main building and a separate library/den in the other building with a fireplace, TV, pool table, foosball table, and plenty of games and dvds for the offering. This is where the pool and jacuzzi tub were also located. Just a few steps outside our room. The breakfast was wonderful. I had the blueberry french toast and my brother had a breakfast casserole. The transportation to and from the train station and the Winter Park resort was a bonus. Finally, the hosts (Carla and Mike) were just flat out awesome. Very friendly, hospitable, and made our stay perfect.

The Hideaway is a unique property tucked away from Winter Park just far enough to be close to nature, without being too far out. Mike and Carla always make you feel at home.

The place is close enough to the recreation and just far enough to be remotely spectacular! Pool was warm, great movie room, food was SO Great and the friendly nature of the owners is INSPIRING.

We own own upscale timeshares and we found the Hideaway Mountain Lodge to be in the same class for lodging. It truly is a combination of a bed and breakfast plus a lodge with all the benefits of both. The owners were generous with their hospitality and attentive to their guest. The breakfast was delicious - we could special order what we'd like to have the day before. The room was decorated in an upscale design. And the Comphy spa sheets were heavenly to sleep on. BIG PLUS - the rooms are priced in a budget range. We would expect to pay at least twice as much. This is now our go to place for staying in the Winter Park area.

It's a little further than we are used to, but it's not too bad. Only about 10 minutes outside of town and it was quite nice to get away. Our room didn't have a window to the outside which was the only thing I didn't like.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Made to order and perfect! The hosts were incredibly nice and accommodating.

My room was right above the foosball area and if the hosts hadn't told the guests to stop playing at 9 PM the other guests would have kept me up all night.

The owners that run the place are so friendly. They had hot coco and chocolate chip cookies and a roaring fire in the main office area which it made it a very cozy place to hang out.

Room was a little small but worth the $. Good place to stay as a centralized location when out and about around the Winter Park/Fraser area.

The breakfast provided was good. Enjoyed speaking with the owner during breakfast - offered to keep my coffee freshened up. room was quiet and out of the way. The owners were readily available and answered questions about nearby attractions.

Decor was a bit dated but beds were comfortable and rooms were clean so it didn’t really matter to us.

Hosts were incredible. Hospitable and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Location is beautiful and not far from town. Close to ski hill! Free shuttle to Winter Park available. Would love to stay again.

The room itself was largely uninspiring, however, it was not the main draw. It's location relative to the property was very nice regardless.

The furnace/radiator was quite noisy and made it hard to stay asleep through the night, but that's to be expected from an older building.

Family owned. Mike and Carla were very communicative before my stay, and Carla was there to check me in upon arrival. I didn't realize breakfast was included, so it was a pleasant surprise to get to place a breakfast order each night for the coming morning. The food was home made and a perfect way to start each ski day. We appreciated the hot tub after a day on the mountain, and our room was just what we needed to relax after skiing. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Hideaway Mountain Lodge is a hidden gem! The hosts are super nice folks and extremely accommodating! They have very clean facilities and go out of their way to provide for their guests! They have fresh baked cookies and coffee, tea, hot cocoa available for the guests, plus breakfast! They are also very friendly people!
