The pool was closed which wasn’t mentioned when we booked and the main restaurant was closed in the evening but bar food was available . You do need a car as there no public transport to get into main Carmel ( a ten min drive max ).

If you get a room overlooking the Pacific you’ll love it . Bathrooms a little tired but the main rooms are really nice and beds really comfy.

The room was outdated needed some sort of renovation. The bathroom lacked a door separating it from the main room. There were many stairs to get to our room, something I was not informed in advance.

The service at the Pacific’s Edge could have been better. Felt a bit ignored by our server. Food was good but not great for the price.

our unit was a timeshare and in DIRE needs of upgrades. one sink handle in the lower bathroom didn’t work, a drawer was missing a handle upstairs, and the mattresses were pretty soft but they told us all those units are getting remodels in Feb so once that’s done this will be back to a primo spot to stay near Big Sur and Carmel

stunning relaxing vacation…spacious and serene. super happy with our two story townhouse and full kitchen it was perfect for 4 nights to have coffee and breakfast in and just a few fabulous meals out. fireplace was fun on the day we got rained in and we never felt cramped, very homey. loved the outdoor hot tub and jacuzzi in our room. we had great ocean views

The bathroom could use improvement, especially the bath/shower, which are rundown.

Totally incredible view in our ocean-facing room and the room looked like the pictures. Access to pool and hot tub was fantastic. The staff were incredibly accommodating.

I was a little disappointed with dinner. When I made a reservation, I was asked what the occasion was, if any. It just so happened to be my lady’s birthday. I mentioned that in the reservation’s notes section. Nothing ever happens. I understand it’s not the kind of restaurant that sings at your table. But some recognition would have been nice, especially since I was asked on the reservation form online. In addition to that, I ordered the Cioppino and I was disappointed to find either pieces of shell or squid beaks after biting into a ring and tentacles dominated entree. I was sad to see a absence of crab and an abundance of cheaper seafood. The cioppino I had was barely edible due to the concern of eating more beak or shell and most of it went into the trash after leaving the restaurant. Other than that, lunch and cocktails were terrific.

The experience was great. If I were to give it an overall grade the Hyatt would receive a solid A. The views were great, the staff was helpful and attentive. We had a wonderful time.

Restaurant can´t be booked through the concierge, only via an external app and along with anybody else. Thus, though hotel guests we never got in.

The room "Horizon" was great and well equipped, the third bed, a sleep sofa, not comfortable. We would come back here.

some of the rooms are hard to access because property is on a hill, so if your handicapped limited rooms would work. Had to valet, and bags had to be carried down to room, by valet.

There was a bit of communication issue around payment because they did not actually charge in advance, as disclosed. We also had to remind them both times to comp the breakfast charges, even after confirming it at check in. We also had housekeeping attempt to clean the room based on a 10am checkout vs our 12pm checkout. Just annoying as we were not prepared for someone to walk onto the room unannounced.

I loved that my Booking.com reservation included breakfast at the restaurant on location and a 12pm checkout. It was a real treat. The views were phenomenal.
