How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This property was so convenient- the shuttle is extremely timely which was fantastic! Also, everything is exactly as advertised which I rarely find in a hotel. The room was dated but so clean!

The proximity and the shuttle to foxwoods was great. We didn't have the breakfast.

Wish the price was alittle cheaper for a one night stay
Greeted so warmly as the front desk, cozy beds! It was great that it was only a 6 minute drive to the casino or they had a shuttle available

See above. Lack of coffee.
More than One pack of coffee would have been more than nice, especially for the size of the cup! I need more than a 1/2 cup upon waking!!

Was supposed to be a non-smoking room but smelt like someone had smoked a cigar. Wanted a king size bed but had to get a two queen because we wanted a private bathroom. Staff were very nice.

I wanted a cup of coffee at 10:45am & I was told that the coffee machine was being cleaned, end of story. I understand that equipment needs to be cleaned. Dom was in no way apologetic or offering another option. Could have been as easy as saying “sorry, the coffee machine will be clean in 15 minutes, please feel free to come back” but he could not be bothered.
Room was clean. Maid was great! Candace was fantastic at the front desk! Excellent customer service. Always very helpful. Dom on the other hand was down right RUDE! Not helpful & had a personality of a box of rocks. Having been in customer service for 30 years& manage people, I would fire him.

Bottom floor can hear room above you walking the floor, flushing toilet, turning on hair dryer. Very thin walls

Bed was a little uncomfortable and the shower was too powerful. They need shower heads that con be adjusted to make the shower more soft.

They had a shuttle service that took us to the casino for a concert and picked us up as well. Very nice service!

there was some people banging on doors around 3 am. scared us a bit.. I’m sure they were just drunk coming back from the casino..

The pillows were not comfortable, and there was no comfortable seating in the room. A table with two dining chairs, and the bed, that was it.
The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice, a little shy a few items, but nothing major.

-Disappointed..."Included Breakfast" only until 9am ?? on New Years Day! should have been extended at least until 10am. -Our room #243 was on second floor...no elevator or ramp access. No first floor rooms available/ New Years Eve....understandable; but, difficult for woman turning 80 next month to navigate 2 flights of stairs and handrails... with rolling luggage. - No full length mirror. No mirror in bathroom. fyi-There was a slight draft from space under door...looks like weatherstripping missing.
Excellent and Safe Location. Close to casinos. Foxwoods just a few miles..about a 10 min. drive. Hilltop's shuttle for guests..extended hours 5:30pm to 2:30am on New Years Eve. Only 2 floors. Roomy and quiet. Very clean. Comfortable beds. TV worked! Sink area outside the bathroom toilet/tub. Plenty of towels and plenty of hot water for showers. Nice little table and chairs by window. Free Parking right outside room. Requested early check-in with online booking...and shortly received a return call from a "real person" from Hilltop saying we could check in at 2:30pm :)

The beds were on wheels, and the wheels could not be locked. One morning, the bed moved when I was getting out of bed, and I fell to the floor. This issue needs to be fixed.

Kitchen staff, there was a gentleman that was not too friendly. I spilt something on the kitchen top and he looked at me and shook his head, very unprofessional
