Phenomenal stay!!! I was really blown away by our gorgeous room with the super comfy king sized bed, giant bathroom with a double sink, and huge separate shower and tub, tons of space, a huge balcony and a wonderful view of the vineyards!! The staff was SO helpful, even went as far as to put our luggage in an Uber and send it to us at a winery when we realized we had to leave for the airport earlier than expected. Every morning we got a gorgeous breakfast box with a ton of amazing fresh pastries delivered. The coffee in the room was also excellent. They have a shared space outside with snacks, sodas, games, lounge areas, tvs, etc. The whole stay was truly fantastic, I would absolutely recommend to everyone I know and would totally come back. Location is perfect as it’s just outside of Yountville and incredibly convenient to all the wineries. Was totally worth the price, loved it!!

If you are looking for a hotel with a spa and pool, you will want to stay elsewhere. This is an inn more suitable to those that want somewhere comfy to relax after a big day out in the valley but with some added luxury. :)

Beautiful setting (I understand the name!) and location in the Napa Valley. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of our room, from the bed to the balcony and the fireplace + sitting area. The kitchenette was a nice touch, which allowed me to divvy up our Bouchon pastries every morning with ease. (The fresh pastry delivery every morning was a huge differentiator, especially after seeing the long lines outside Bouchon Bakery each day!) 10/10 would stay here again and recommend to our friends.

The wifi was very slow, and we asked for early check inn - which was confirmed but we had to wait for more than an hour for the room.

The location is great. The room was big with nice fireplace for night and pleasant balconey for the day. To wake up and see from bed the vineyards and all the greens around and the hot air balloons, all from bed, it was really special. The fresh Bouchon pasteries for breafast were great and the staff was kind to adjust to our asks .

Where do I start… this hotel is amazing! Coming from Dubai and as experienced travelers we are spoiled with restaurants and hotels, in fact before Setting inn we visited three 5* hotels in Yountville, and all of those were just not the 5* for us. Here in Setting inn everything clicked. Candice is super sweet and helped to organize a tour around vineyards just in 30 mins! After a busy day we enjoyed a hot bathtub and a real fireplace that was super easy to turn on. It hit a place in minutes. Rooms are super clean, cozy and sophisticated. I enjoyed a natural pillows, finally made not from padding polyester :) In the morning we were served with a basket of fresh bakeries from Bouchon (famous bakery owned by the Michelin stared Thomas Keller). Should I mention it was super romantic and delicious? If you as us prefer smth healthier just pack a few instant oatmeal bags with you, you can find here all amenities to make it. We disliked when we had to leave, so sad. We would of stayed longer.

We LOVED everything. We came to CA to meet with my sister in law after my mother in law’s passing 1/28. Past two weeks were hard so taking a trip to Napa & staying here in the Howell room was really therapeutic & comforting. It allowed us to process all that had happened & the beauty around us at the Setting reminded us of mom :’) Thank you, the Barkley’s.

EVERYTHING! When I tell you how personable Candice and Lexi made our room, I’m saying it was tailored to our liking and more! The facility itself is top tier. The barn was fun; we played the guitar, there’s snacks, bathrooms were immaculate, it was beautiful.

A bigger window or a balcony to enjoy the scenery would be nice.

The hotel was conveniently located along St Helena Hwy and only a few minutes away from all the wineries, but far enough to be away from traffic if you like a quiet and peaceful environment. We arrived late in the night but the manager has prepared all instructions on a hand written note for us to check into our room. Nice!

The place is beautiful and spacious! The decor is just on point. From the beginning we were greeted and it felt so welcoming. They gave us a tour of the place and took us to our room. Our room had everything we needed and more like Nesspressos and toiletries that I forgot to bring. The fireplace was so relaxing and kept the room nice in Toasty. Breakfast was left outside our bedroom and as you read in the other reviews the Boujon bakery is the best!!! These patisseries are very much coveted. This place is in the perfect location for the wineries and outside there's so many areas to take pictures in the property. We definitely want to come back again. It was definitely a romantic getaway

The only thing is that we weren’t able to get the heater on the wall unit to function, however, the fireplace helped to warm up the room. This is the only reason why we rated it a 9/10.

Loved everything about the property. It was beautiful, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The setting is nestled amongst vineyards which exhibited pretty fall colors. The room was very nice, beautifully decorated and the bathroom was amazingly large and perfect.

The room was fabulous and spaciis, I loved the design and the eye for details, the big bathroom even the towels and robes. We enjoyed so much sitting on the terrace over looking the vineyard. Staff was helpful withe great recommendations for wine testing and restuarants.

Not really within walking distance of anything- either drive, cycle or uber!

Beautiful large room which is very well presented, two seating areas and a generous bathroom with dual vanity, big bathtub and shower! We also had a balcony with tables and chairs which overlooked the vineyard. The property had communal outdoor areas plus a lounge (with free snacks) and a small fitness area. Bikes were available for free too. We loved the Bouchon bakery breakfast delivery too. I asked the manager if he could source a birthday cake for my husband which he was able to do so that was a great touch too!

I understand that I asked for something non-standard and difficult, but I did not receive any response to my email. It would have been appreciated if I were informed that it couldn't be done. Without any response, I felt like my inquiries were being ignored.

There are so many things I liked that I can't list them all. It's really nice to see a place where they really spent a lot for a high quality equipments. For the first time I saw someone equip a room with really expensive, which can be seen from the very entrance (handle) to blinds, cosmetics, snacks and many more. Everything is high quality.

Only one thing, driving is the way to get to and from the hotel. It means that one of us cannot drink if we went out for a meal.

Exceed expectations in every detail. It’s the first hotel in our US trip that provides both coffee machine and a real kettle for tea lover! Welcome snacks, cold and room temperature water, spacious room, a note from hotel manager, check-out at 12, no disturbing for breakfast etc. Bed is super cosy, we did have 11 hours sleep! Lots of photography spots and nice common area.

Can’t say anything really honestly.

Staff was super kind and welcoming. Everything was incredibly clean. Rooms were spacious and our room had a large porch overlooking the vineyards. Bouchon delivery was a huge highlight in the morning. The bathroom was spacious with a his and hers type of sink, a bathtub, and a huge shower. Hard wood floors as well which are such a bonus and a very comfortable bed!

Stay was amazing with squeaky clean rooms and bathrooms with some amazing views from the balcony. This place is also very calm and quiet. Loved our stay. Would love to come back again.
