Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesThe pool was freezing! We chose this hotel because we wanted a pool for our kids all week. We used it less than an hour all week because it was so cold. On top of that, the room was too small to eat in. Had to take the kids to the lobby for meals. Not the family fun trip we were expecting. We made it work, but the kids were very disappointed
The woman in charge of housekeeping was wonderful. I woke up the first morning covered in spider bites. She stripped the bed and checked for bed bugs (there weren't any). After that, she checked on us daily. She was incredibly kind. She even made the bed one morning, and set up my daughter's stuffed animals very cutely on the bed.

United StatesThe restaurant and bar were not operating. We were told that a gas leak closed the kitchen down and that they lost their liquor license. So, there was no food available during our stay and they couldn’t say when, if ever, the bar would reopen. If i’d known that I would have looked for lodging elsewhere.
This was not my first stay at this hotel. I have been staying here once or twice a year for at least 10 years. I like the location and that it was a full service hotel, i.e. it has a restaurant and a bar. It’s very clean and comfortable. The daytime staff were very nice.
