Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesI was unaware of the parking fee, it wasn’t on booking.com and the lady didn’t mention it to me when I checked in. Also, it would be nice if there was a map of Ybor either in the lobby or in the room. Kids were sneaking in behind guests as they were using the key to get in on the side door, made us uncomfortable.
Nice location, rooms were clean, comfortable and a great size. Bathroom was clean but needs some kind of venting. The staff was friendly.

United StatesWe were not informed that housekeeping must be notified 24 hours in advance to clean room. So our room was not cleaned the second day. We made the bed and picked up fresh towels from the front desk ourselves. That was very disappointing.

Costa RicaThe air conditioner made a lot of noise. We turned it off but also the adjacent rooms aircos made noise. Windows cannot open. Issue with the bill, they charged more than the bookings.com reservation. I had to call and email various times but it will be refunded.
Location excellent. Close to bars and restaurants and a nice free tram ride to downtown. Only stayed one night and it was raining all the time so we did not use the pool.

We didn’t like that breakfast was not included. Most hotels that we stay at have complimentary breakfast included. Parking was terrible, not enough and parking spots tooooo close. We drove a newer car and we’re very concerned about having our doors banged and scratched.

United StatesNoises come through into the room from outside and adjoining rooms. Air conditioning is loud when it turns on in comparison to total quiet when it turns off. No provision to have blower on at all times to have uniform sound level. Disturbs sleep.
Desk staff was fabulous. Very efficient and welcoming. Only 2 blocks from main drag in Ybor City. Makes it easier to party and not have to drive, lol. We walked easily and had a great time.

United StatesMajor issues tried to switch to a room with the top of bed two days before as my friend going to chemotherapy need a place to stay was told there was probably gonna be a cancellation that day so I want to change. I got there no cancellation. I was been told that I could get a rollaway and I try to get it. I was told there was out even though I had one on hold. I was then told I could get extra bedding and make a bed on the floor and they would have it in my room. I got back to my room. There was no bedding there. I went downstairs and they said they could not access the bed because, the maid service had already left for the day. So my husband and I gave my friend that was ill our bed and we basically slept on the floor with two towels. The next night we called downstairs at 11:30 after we heard a couple screaming each other and slamming doors. No one answering the phone. Couple finally stop fighting at one with started up again at 5:30 in the morning when I attempted to tell the staff upfront while checking out what a long two days that have been all she says was have a good day wouldn’t even acknowledge my issues. It appears texting friends was more important.
