Old elevators. Wish every lounge chair in front of the pool didn’t cost to sit there. Maybe half would be better. Hard bed mattress.

Only 1 of 3 elevators were working consistently during our stay. Caused a lot of waiting at the elevators. Beach rinse stations were dirty and not functioning properly.

There were not alot of activities as advertised. We were thinking about playing a game of pool on Saturday and they covered the pool table and towel station and equiptment were locked up tight before 6pm.

Its a beautiful location. We stayed here years ago when it was the Marriott and it doesn't look like it's been renovated, but still a nice property. The room was spacious.

Cons: The pool was not heated! Freezing cold water. It needs to be heated during spring, like the Omni Hilton Head Resort heats their pools. The kids cold-plunged, but the parents preferred the hot tubs. The air conditioner in South Tower room 454 was very noisy if set at 69 or lower- affecting sleep. But since it was cool outside (65-70 degrees) it was not that much of a problem to keep thermostat at 70/71. But summertime may be a big issue. The TV did not work. Lots of troubleshooting while in our pajamas at night getting ready to wind down while the kids were asleep- it was a bummer it didn’t work. We didn’t request a repairman to come and assess/ fix it because it was either so late in the evening or we were busy at the beach and pool and out for meals. The toilet seat was too low and too close to the sink. Did not dine at the resort restaurants- preferred to go out to eat at amazing local restaurants and watched the amazing sunsets.

Hilton Beachfront Hotel’s South Tower Room 454 was quiet and comfortable. Pros: Further from the pool/noise, very quiet, undisturbed sleep, low moisture/ no mold issues since I’m very sensitive, less traffic at elevators/ shorter wait times, partial ocean view (further away compared to main hotel Oceanview rooms, but still nice to have.) Bike rentals HHI Outfitters in the hotel/onsite was so convenient and affordable. The pool was fun to hang out for hours in the sun, but the water was cold. Walked to the beach just steps away to watch the beautiful sunrise every morning and play in the waves during the day. Very friendly hotel staff. Cost was reasonable for this beachfront resort.

Insufficient chairs at pool. Having to pay for chairs on beach. Gym insufficient equipment. Use of steam - would not provide lockers - woman was not the most courteous when we asked about only using the steam. The breakfast at the hotel was not the quality expected for the price. It took a long time to receive the food ordered from the menu.

The music outside in the pool and common sunbathing area was TERRIBLE. Awful pop music that made no sense and then random slow 80’s songs killed the entire beach vibe. Dogs allowed in pool and hot tub areas, gross. Many people are allergic and dogs are not everyone’s favorite and should not be allowed in common areas. This “hotel and spa” is not cheap or “common” and people pay good money for resort accommodations...dogs running around the areas where everyone is barefoot, or where there’s children...is unsettling to some. It’s a turn off to be honest. “Pet friendly” hotels have their place, and this one shouldn’t be it! And the hot tub has so much mold growing on the sides I thought I’d just gag. Fix that please.
