This house was not only clean and beautiful, but all of furniture is time period to really give it that feel. House was very close to everything, just a short 15 minute walk. Host was an absolute treasure. She was very accommodating and wonderfully sweet!

A little dimmly lit. Only thing I would ask for is more lighting. Not a big deal though.

The antique furnishings made it feel like a period home. Added to the feel of a historical city. Very quaint. Very clean. Loved the porch.

No evaluation is legitimate without the cons. Ours are of little consequence; it is an old reconned St. Augustine home, after all, and that’s what gives it character! My single hope is that the next time we visit is that the mattress in the bedroom nearest the bathroom is replaced. “Lizzy, it is comfortable… but it slants (compressed) downward on the right side.”

My wife and I vacationed in the second floor two-bedroom apartment, “the Elegant,” the week before Christmas. We are Florida residents and often enjoy “mini instate vacations,” so, take heed, experience yields sage evaluation. The location is quiet and minutes from any attraction… worth seeing. It is within short blocks of Michelin quality restaurants in pastoral environments. The apt. lacks no kitchen appliance or tableware. Nor does it lack thoughtful amenities. As an example, there were enough assorted bathroom towels to supply a hotel floor. Water pressure was good and hot water was near immediate and… generous. There is ample space for clothing, chests of drawers, armoires, and closet. We had coffee/cocktails on our private balcony… “bathrobe appropriate.” There is a well-marked parking space in the rear, which is 15’ from the apartment stairs. Lizzy, is a congenial host as well as accommodating. She lives the American dream.

The sofa was incredibly uncomfortable to sit on. The doors and door frames were dingy with finger prints (could easily be cleaned with a Magic Eraser) The patio cushions were musty smelling.

The bed were soft and comfortable. The kitchen was gorgeous and very clean. Loved sitting on the front porch in the morning.

the only thing i could say is the couch was beautiful but a little uncomfortable but it was fine for a few hour. not really a big deal at all.

I would prefer to have an alarm on the doors and windows, but the area did appear to be safe enough not to worry too much about not having an alarm.

The host, Lizy, was very professional and friendly. She made it all very easy to get settled in. The place was exceptionally clean and tidy! So conveniently located to everything! We walked to most of our plans. Will definitely stay here again!

The beds were creaking so that sleeping was not much easy. Also, we haven´t noticed "hidden" substantial cleaning fee (perhaps it was be displayed sometimes just before payment) which was more than 50% of advertised rental cost. Our mistake that we usually do not look for cleaning fee as it is normally quite reasonable.

When you enter the house, you feel true history of the city. Nice, very well maintained, decent combination of old times with modern ones (kitchen, bathroom), spacious balcony great for sitting out.

Expensive for condition of accommodation. No info. on how to operate TV. No info. or recommendations on things to do, restaurants, places to go. No info. on how to operate heat - freezing cold in mornings. Doubtful building had been inspected in many years - very sloped floors.

Good location. Quaint accommodation. Decently equipped kitchen. Quiet. Cleanish.
