Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe room smelled like marijuana. There was a loud air filter machine plugged in and running when we arrived that was supposed to be removing odors, but it made the air incredibly dry and made us both cough and made our throats sore. The staff did not give clear parking lot directions nor instructions. The parking lot elevators were not working, and the stairwells had homeless people lurking in them. Plus, having to cross a dirty alley to get to and from the hotel and parking lot was unpleasant and did not feel safe.
The bed and pillows were nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly.

It was unclear during booking that the “free” breakfast only included two of our three guests and on the second morning we were told it was only for one guest. The booking information stated parking but it wasn’t clear that it was a separate building and $14 a day.

United Statesthe staff towards the evening/overnight did not have the best attitude and answered simple questions like "How can I receive more towels?" it was very dry and unenthused, and I just waited until the next morning to get some towels from the custodian so I would not have to interact with her. and the elevator not working in the parking deck was a bit annoying because we had to walk up and down the steps each time and it became inconvenient. also, the Wi-Fi was not working for my tablet, and I refused to interact with the evening/overnight front desk clerk because of her rudeness and I just used my hot spot unfortunately.
room and bathroom were clean. When checking the front desk clerks were sweet, helpful, and friendly.

Loved that you key into the lobby at night and the elevator any time of day, this made us feel extra safe. The staff was super friendly and were really great at their jobs! United StatesThe parking is not so great. $14 to park in the ramp - but you have to walk down a sketchy alleyway to get back to the hotel. People were sleeping in this alleyway.
The room was well decorated and comfortable. Great beds. We loved the Brazillian Steakhouse around the corner from the hotel.

United StatesThe room wasn’t bad . However, the space was a little compact. I was expecting a little more moving around room. The carts for hauling luggage I did not like. I was expecting the traditional one. I had to keep pushing the handle down to operate it which became hard and time consuming if the cart was full. The switch for the unit was all the way up on the top where the unit was . I had to stand on the bed just to turn it off. I was expecting it to be at eye level . Or at least a remote for operation.
The bathroom was nice . I loved the shower . I liked the key card access to the elevator so that was good for security purposes .
