How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

breakfast! They did not keep it well stocked during breakfast time and one of the employees lied to me when I had asked if there were anymore muffins. I was told they were all out very very rudely. I left to go back to the room, my husband came back and guess what, they had muffins.

Somebody's dog barked from 6am till well after 730am. That was annoying.
Breakfast was great, accommodations were perfect, staff was helpful and friendly.

thinnesses of the walls. i could hear people in bathroom on toilet peeing or pooping. i could hear tv in the room beside me.

The rooms had these foam like headboards covered in fabric and holes had been torn into them. Also I booked the room for my 93 yr old grandmother (father's mother) and my 79 yr old mother and the elevator broke the morning of check out and they had to climb down stairs with their luggage. Also, they did have a local bug - palmetto - in their room
The check in associate was wonderful and the process was simple and quick. The breakfast was nice.

There was nothing that I would complain about. Our stay was very enjoyable!
The hotel was very clean. Our room was spacious and clean. The only thing is housekeeping does not clean your room at all. You have to ask at the front desk for clean towels, toilet paper etc. I understand that due to Covid this is how they do things. The pool was nice and clean. The water was a little cold to be an indoor pool. We enjoyed it anyway! The breakfast they have is really nice. They have hot and cold foods. The little lady that takes care of it is amazing. She kept things clean and filled. I would stay here again. The staff was friendly and very helpful at getting us things we needed. I give them 5 stars!

Only one elevator. No fans/heater in the bathroom

Could use some updates.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were super comfortable. The best part was we were able to take our Dolly dog with us in the room, etc.

Furniture needs a bit of a face-lift. Headboard was scratched and peeling. Could use more hooks in bathroom for towels.

I didn’t like that I book by booking.com because they lied to me when I add an extra night at the Hotel and the lady told me that she add the night and she didn’t

The back area was very grassy and it had a snake in the pond on back. We informed the front desk. But they didn't seem that concerned. It was a little to close for comfort for us to have to walk out back area and see a snake. Safety first. Needs to be cleaned up.
The location was great to the beach.

The carpets on the room and hallways are dirty, they need more than a vacuum! No towels on the pool area, we needed to ask every time or take them from the room The pool area needs more tables.
The breakfast was pretty good, the room was good enough for what we need and think it is in a good location

Cleanliness of shower, headboard, and cobwebs on the ceiling. Some breakfast food.
Breakfast was frustrating because I had to ask people to make me a plate and they gave me small serving sizes. Ready for Covid to be over. Some food was good, biscuits and gravy were terrible.
