Nothing Major. I do wish they had EV chargers but you can use the ones across the street as they are Chargepoint and are open to the public. So you can just use those for now.

Great location and a really lovely design. The bedding was nice, and the location was pretty quiet. The pool also looked nice, but I went in March and didn't use it. However, it's easy to get Lyft/Uber to downtown SLO and close to Paso Robles if you are going to do wine. The waters were a nice touch and it was great.

Not quite the same experience as 2023

    • Queen Room with Tub - Mobility and Hearing Accessible

The room needed some updates. Paint job in the bathroom was a little sloppy. The mattress was incredibly firm, even hard. I wondered if sleeping on the floor would be the same experience. The room wasn't that clean, either. Food garbage from the last guest was left in my room and it looked like the guest had also wiped a booger on the bathroom door.

I've stayed here regularly over the past four years, back when it was called "The Kinney." Great location, near some nice restaurants, with easy access to the 101. The restaurant inside is a bonus, although I preferred it when it was called "Leroy's."

The Schoolyard restaurant could’ve been better it was quite not my favorite, and tasted like cardboard. Their food seemed microwaved.

The breakfast was not very good at all.. the Schoolyard yesterday was kinda just microwaved food and it was nothing special for the prices they were charging. The best thing was the very comfortable beds and the curtains really made the room as dark as i like which was amazing! Avoid the Schoolyard restaurant at all costs.. it was not delicious at all. Would rather eat cardboard. Staff was nice. Beds were comfy. Very close to downtown SLO about 7$-8$ to uber there. 15 min drive to pismo and avila. Great located hotel.

Wish there were chargers for electric vehicles in parking lot.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and helped us secure our bags in the office since we arrived a while before check-in time. The pool was nice, the location is good and not too far from town center so we were able to walk back and forth. (We like to walk, so not everyone may feel the same). Room was clean and beds were comfy.

We never received Housekeeping and were never told why. We had to call down each day for towels and toiletries Parking lot was not big, if you got in too late you could miss having a spot WiFi was spotty Bathroom far too small for two people The room ( with taxes) was $500 a night, but felt more like Motel

Excellent location to Cal Poly and downtown shopping and dining

No grab and go food. Small breakfast menu. Location is a bit far from downtown, so no convenient walking dining options

Cute hotel-retro vibe and extras like games and fun lobby elevate it from a boring motel. Nice pool and hot tub, everything very clean. Staff were super firendly and helpful! Very convenient to Cal Poly. Excellent pancakes!

I would've liked a rooftop patio, or at the very least some nicer outdoor space in the sun with views of the mountains. The pool area is in the shade and kinda grimy with the hotel hovering over it, and the front area seating is all for the restaurant so there's no real place to sit with a nice view and relax.

I liked the location, the staff was super friendly, the games were fun, and they had a nice little courtyard.

The pool closed too early and the jets on the hot tub didn't work. Also, Leroy's, the attached restaurant and bar closes at 10pm! I mean come on it's a bar haha. Just wish it stayed up later. All in all my dislikes were very minor and honestly not really an issue but I had to write something...

I really liked our room, it had such a cool vibe with all the surfing photos lining the wall as well as the ceiling. But, I will say, my favorite thing about the hotel, to me, was the shower. I gotta have high water pressure and I felt like I was being sprayed down by a fire hose.
