How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The mid day front desk staff, specifically the young lady was overbearing and unwilling to deal with our complaint. Immense noise from the room directly over us and we eventually asked to be moved and were. She did not address the issue with the people causing the issue.
Really the only place in Ely to stay overnight.

What we expected. We are in a road trip thru the southwest. Food was a quick walk to a restaurant. Facility was clean and comfortable.

Loved the walk in shower, but would have enjoyed a relaxing bath after a long day of driving.
Holiday Inn is always a safe bet when selecting a place to stay. Great location with a casino next door and not inside the hotel itself, which is greatly appreciated.

Price was just a small bit high.
Nice size room, very clean .It had the lounge chair, so I didn't have to watch the TV from sitting in bed.

Fire alarm in the bedroom showing green lite all night long kept us up. The ice machine was a ways from our room but only needed ice twice so it was ok.
Nice room and great breakfast. The shower was fantastic and loved the shower aid in the shower. It was super quiet and centrally located.

There was nothing that I did not like!!!
Loved this property! Great staff, clean and comfortable! The breakfast was great! Would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn. I rate it a 20!

You ran out of breakfast and I'm diabetic and had no choice but to wait. It out us behind on our travel time for leaving.

As upscale as your establishment is, I cannot believe you use such cheap toilet paper. It is the only thing we found wrong with our stay.
Everything about the stay was great exept as noted below. Easy check in, clean room, good bed, great breakfast and easy check-out.

The window shade was weird—not working properly. And the shower head—could be sooo much better—doesn’t really get the soap off or shampoo unless you take a longer time than I’m used to (wasting water).
It had a calm energy—easy to relax in after a very long drive. Many of the things it had I didn’t take advantage of but was happy they were there and I’ll be back.

price was a bit high
The room was very large. It was clean. Nice TV with a lot of channels. I was tired and needed to relax so that was important. The other places in Ely and surrounding areas were mostly older motels; I have severe allergies and can't stay in those kinds of places. So the Holiday Inn was like an oasis to me. It was nice to have breakfast available. For that type of serve yourself meal it was pretty decent.

A little expensive compared to other hotels in the area.
The luggage carts are best ever! Staff friendly. Let us park our motorcycles under cover. Hotel very clean and organized. Layout well thought out. Close to restaurants. Room nice , quiet and clean.

We asked for easy access room, it was on second floor at the very end of hall. Ok if in wheelchair , I guess, but I still walk with cane. Long haul at end of long day. Room was great but I wasn’t going to leave it to go eat or gamble.
Clean, comfy and easy to find. Breakfast was great.

The price was a little high but we still enjoyed the room and the view.
It was the best breakfast of our entire trip. The room was clean and provided a variety of breakfast options. Our room was wonderful and had a great view of the surrounding mountains.

More handicap parking
The room was perfect, walk in shower was oustanding for an old guy like me. Breakfast was scruptious. And it was quiet througout the night, definiely worth the extra cost!
