How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The only thing was that I had requested in the comments when booking that I needed a handicap acessible room but when we arrived the clerk said she didn't see it on the booking and she had none available. But, as I asked for a refund she said I had to contact Book.com for a refund. She then waited on 2 more customers while I tried to call Book.com she looked on the computer & went someway & came back & stated, "I found you a handicap room". By then, about 25mins later I was tired & stressed out & enjoyed the room!

Having more time to spend on the premises. We were meeting with friends and family and spent little time on site.
Location off I-4 was very convenient for the travel we did. The breakfast was the best of any hotel we have ever stayed at. It appeared the hotel had just had its grand opening just prior to our arrival as everything was in such impeccable condition.

Signage was tough to catch on first round. Ended up doing uturns to get into receptions.
Clean as one would wish! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Beakfast was perfect. Right down the hall from my room which was a perfect location to my car. I could linger in my room for a reasonable time in order to get to the Amtrak station. -Left at noon. proximity to the station was great and the amount of wind and rain that occurred I was happy to get in line at the right time to not have to drive any further,

I wish we'd had time to indulge in the breakfast buffet, but we had to leave early. The room was generously spacious, the bed super-comfortable, the bathroom modern & clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Sanford.

I realize it's Florida and pools should not need to be heated and although the sun was shining and we wanted to swim, the pool was very cold. That was the only downfall.
Very clean. That was key. Every bathroom stocked and clean. The coffee and tea availability 24/7 was fantastic! Flavored creamers too! The fresh cold water available in the lobby was also a huge plus! The staff on Monday March 18 were exceptional. Continental breakfast area was very busy but the staff was on top of keeping tables cleaned as they became free and the breakfast was very well stocked . Very pleasant and helpful young man at front desk too.

The location although convenient was very noisy and the outside esthetics were very poor. There was a lot of construction going on next door. Getting out of the parking lot was difficult. It may improve once construction is complete and landscape is in place. I would not recommend this hotel for a vacation, it was Ok for one night.

One side of the hotel faces a very busy freeway, and the room was exceptionally noisy 24 hours a day. I would only stay again if my room was on the other side of the building.
Nice modern clean property with attentive staff. Comfortable beds and the typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast.

There was no night housekeeper to bring complimentary items to my room.
The hotel was nice and clean! The bed was extremely comfortable and my favorite.

The price was steep! We stayed there on the weekend once before and did not pay a super high price.
Spacious room & downstairs lobby. Also, we loved the fact that hotel keys are needed in the elevator (for safety/security).

The front dest attendant was OK, could have been friendlier. The pull out bed (couch) was a bit dirty and could have used some cleaning.
The property itself was new and fresh. There was coffee available regularly even when breakfast was not out. And the size of the room worked for our family of five. Shower pressure was nice!
