Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe bathroom wasn't cleaned very well 😞 the counters literally had lotion or something smeared all over them the outlet cover had a reddish substance on it the shower was super super slippery and the heater/air conditioner didn't work that well ok the air conditioner part it super warm in there and the fan wouldn't kick in at all

United StatesOur room had a bug/spider issue. we had a lot of bugs in our room, under the vanity in the bathroom, in the corners by the door and in the corners on the ceilings. Our room was 117 which is right by the emergency exit so I get why this happens, but could have been checked before we arrived. Next time I hope the rooms are better. House keeping needs to clean better in the corners of the rooms and behind the beds.

United StatesWe had 2 queen beds, the mattress were super soft almost like the old water beds. You would sink in and it was hard to move or roll over. We like a firmer mattress so woke up sore in the AM.
Location was great, easy to get to off of Maple. Close to the family we came to see. The hot items on the breakfast were not good, taste was off so didn't eat it.

United StatesI have stayed in many Holiday Inns Express and have always had positive experiences until this one. when we got to our room there was a started mouth wash in our bathroom. I called the front desk and they brought one up, which we appreciated. When I got into the shower the next morning I discovered we only had 3 towels for our family of 4 and we were missing a shower mat. In the middle of my shower I noticed the soap dispenser was empty, but I didn’t feel safe to get out of the shower since the water wasn’t draining and I didn’t have a shower mat. Later I went to get another towel and the person at the front office did write down the issue with the drain, which I appreciated. We were booked for 2 nights, and I was surprised when we returned to our room at 3 PM and noticed the room had not been touched. when I called the front office I was told they don’t typically clean rooms with stay overs and if I wanted clean towels I could come down and get them. I have never had this before and asked if it was their policy. I was told that was standard since Covid. I said it was not mentioned on Booking.com and he said that would not be on there. In the evening I went to the front office since I needed a clean garbage bag and toilet paper. I expressed my frustration with not being told about their policy. The person said that is not something they tell up front, and it is not posted anywhere. The front person said they are short staffed and that was another reason they don’t clean during stay overs. We payed over $300/night, which is double of any other time we have stayed at a Holiday Inn. I said I understand that they are short staffed, but then their rates should reflect their service. He told me their rates reflect what’s going on in town. Baseball tournaments and the College World Series is currently in Omaha. This is unacceptable and I am very disappointed. We chose this hotel from booking because of it’s high rating. Our experience was not reflective of this.

United StatesFor once would like to sleep in a hotel where there is not hair on the sheets before I even climb into the bed. Water pressure in shower was non existent. Floor had clearly not been vacuumed as there was food on floor under our lamp desk in between beds. Floor was clearly packed as I slept awful lot of noisy guests. When I just spent 12 hours at hospital with daughter for procedure I was exhausted.

United StatesNo one came to freshen up my room in the four days I was there. I had to ask for fresh towels. Had to put trash cans in hall to be empied, when they did take the trash they left trash cans in hall and did not replace liners even. Would not stay there again, expected more for the money I paid for the room. Office clerk had her children there with her, would not mind the children, but they were playing in the elevators. And running around Lobby AND WERE NOT WEARING MASKS. Most Customers were wearing masks at the hotel and Always in the elevators. Breakfast was nice

United StatesWe booked with this hotel thinking the pool would have been working. For this being relatively new (a year) the pool pump was broken. The grandkids were looking forward to swimming and they were disappointed!

The breakfast was good, but the issue is that while eating the roof started to leak onto me and my food. I went to the front desk and told them and they said oh room 217 must be taking too long of a shower, and then one said I'll go grab a bucket.
