How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We loved everything about our short stay! 10-15 min drive to downtown Boston. The hotel was very safe and secure, the staff were super friendly, and breakfast was great! 🙂

The room had hair on the bed as if the sheets and blankets were never changed. Even after getting new sheets hair was still present. Being a Owner of a commercial cleaning company, it is very important to know the beds are being changed properly.
The amenities were very nice.

a lot of the machines in the gum were broken and unable to be used. Peloton missing a peddle, screen not working on two machines, seat wouldn’t stay in place for other bime

The hotel is awkwardly placed and a little hard to find. Parking is not clearly marked. Wish it had a shuttle to the subway.
Our teenage kids loved access to the stores and restaurants. They liked all of the different breakfast choices—even my picky eater was happy with his fresh waffles. My son loved the computer desk for his laptop. And bringing our bulldog on vacation was so great and super reasonably priced! Way better & cheaper than a pet-sitter! The kitchen was great for refrigerating our North End pastry & leftovers!!!

I wish it was a bit closer to downtown or to a train station. Everything closes early and we only had a fast food option open after 9pm.
I like the new, clean feel of the hotel. Breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable. This was our second time staying at the property.

Location is a bit far from downtown Boston. Near public transportation though.
Clean & modern hotel. Rooms large & well appointed. Located near shopping plaza w/stores & some decent restaurants. Staff friendly. Parking is cheap.

Paying 20 extra for parking by the day and it was detached from the building

staff are not very engaged, not interested really. An incident of a burning toast in the reception hall at breakfast time triggered a full fire alarm and firemen arriving. It was illustrative as it could have been avoided with a bit more engagement by staff.

A large shopping area nearby is near some pretty run-down streets. I would suggest you pay attention when in this area.
The hotel was new, and the room facilities were good and met my expectations. Although repetitive, the breakfast was fine and offered a good choice, and was kept clean when served. I suggest getting up early for breakfast as it could become crowded later in the morning. The walk to the metro is about ten minutes, which I did not mind, the street looks a little rough, but I did not encounter any problems.

if you wanted the room clean you had to tell them 24h ahead, there wasn’t a note about that any where, and when they clean they left 1 towel for 3 people.

The beds were not very comfortable. We stayed 4 nights in the hotel and the breakfast got worse from day to day...
The place was great when we arrived. The room was clean, very well arranged. There is smart TV in the room. The staff was very welcoming and nice. It was a good value for money.

The location is a little far from the train station at night.
The breakfast was great, with 2 options of fruit, yogurt, etc. There were also a waffle machine. Coffee and tea free all day. There is a mall near with a market, a lot of stores and restaurants.
