How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very roomy, well appointed, Liked the cookies and water at reception. Good breakfast with lots of choices. It was convenient to Lewes DE and the ferry . We would stay there again when we are in town!

Carpet in hall, made me a little dizzy

People smoking outside of the cafe so I couldn’t sit outside with my dog and eat breakfast without sucking in secondhand smoke!
It’s clean and they do everything to make sure my stay is nice. I love the dog park and outdoor space for relaxing. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating!

The pool needed a good deep cleaning, although I have seen much worse, and the hand soap dispenser was falling of the wall in my bathroom (adhesive was letting lose). Other than that there were only some minor cleaning things that anyone who has to clean multiple rooms a day would probably miss.
The staff was very friendly and informative and the suite was lovely. I loved the kitchenette and the pool was the perfect temp. Breakfast was better than some I have had and not as good as others so I was able to find something I could eat every morning.

The eggs could be tastier. And there was an unpleasant odor from the trash bags collected in the ice room on the morning of our checkout. And better directional signs , like a larger sign at the turn-in off the main road would be very helpful.
Breakfast offered wide variety, though Western omelet was salty and dry. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

Our room had a connecting door to the room next to us and the neighbor's dog could hear us and kept sniffing and scratching at the door which was irritating our dog. Next time we will ask for a room without an adjoining door.
Clean rooms, attentive service and very comfortable. A perfect little winter getaway! Even have an outdoor fire pit for relaxing in the evening. Really liked the mini kitchen and divider between the living room and bedroom. Perfect!

We didn’t dislike anything about the property except the nightly rates in Summer. My husband and I have travelled for our jobs for nearly forty years, both domestically and internationally. We’ve decided this is one of our top ten favorites. Now that we’re retired, we visit the area every month and wish the rates wouldn’t skyrocket in Summer. We wish they would give us the Winter rate for each stay year round because we’re there every 4-5 weeks for one to three nights.
Extremely clean, quiet and convenient to everything; restaurants, shopping, beach. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The property was also pet friendly with exceptional and convenient play and relief areas for our fur babies.

The room was a bit warm and couldn't figure out how to lower heat.
Excellent for the price. Has everything you need and more. Great breakfast, very clean and great location midway between downtown Lewes, Rehoboth as well as the cute little town of Milton.

They began to have a payment system in case you want to enter even if it is only an hour before (before they offered it to you free of charge)
In general, every time I visit Lewes I try to stay here. It is pet friendly, has complimentary drinks and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended
