How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only complaint is the pillows sucked but I prefer a nice memory foam pillow since I’m a side sleeper.
Great location, rooms were clean, staff were nice, and also love staying in the Midwest because people are so kind. Breakfast was tasty too! I enjoyed the variety

I wish there was more signage to indicate that the building is 2 hotels in 1. I inadvertently took the wrong elevator and could not find my room number after walking an entire hallway in the wrong side of the building. This could have been avoided if I was told which elevator to use and if there were more signs.
Outstanding location, close to target center, front desk agent was very friendly and waived the parking fee as a birthday gift to me

Bar closed so early. I couldn't use cash. My credit card was not working because it had been hacked the night before.

There is nothing to dislike about the premises or our stay.
The hotel and parking was easy to access and very convenient. The facility was spotless and welcoming. The desk clerk was pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were perfect. We would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

The waste with disposable plates and breakfast stuff. The quality of fruits for breakfast and only 1 milk and yogurt. I disliked that we had a microwave but no spoon in the room and they rarely refilled my tea.
The staff willing to help. Abigail the floor manager was super helpful and always attentive..really went the extra mile to help. I loved the restaurant staff always trying to please.

Parking - $22 per night. Lot and garage were full for regular-sized vehicle. Spaces were too small and lot was overcrowded.

Parking was a little challenging to navigate and figure out, but once we did it was fine. It was also a little challenging using the room keys as they de-activated randomly at times.
I enjoyed the location as it was within walking distance of our intended destination for the stay. Rooftop bar was a big plus, and breakfast was good too.

More information about transit and activities in the area
Laundry facilities and the roof top patio was more than I expected! Staff was friendly and accommodating. I even had a packaged delivered while there. Breakfast was acceptable much more appreciated than continental breakfast. All the extras were unexpected!

An extra fee for parking ($22/night). Being put right across from the ice machine and the elevator lobby when we requested a quiet room. And the mouse we saw running through the lobby at breakfast time.
The rooms were super spacious and very comfortable. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Bathroom was a little tight, but to be expected. Breakfast was great and with a wide variety of options.

We booked our first night at just over $200, then in the morning we realized we would need one more night. I went to the reception desk and asked for one more night which I assumed would be for relatively the same price, and I didn't think to ask for the price and they never told me the price until a received my receipt in the morning for $466 dollars. How can the price double over night with no warning?
Breakfast was very good and the man that was assisting in the eating area was great.

The bathroom door didn't lock. Fan in bathroom didn't work. Maid service went into our room before we checked out, while we were eating breakfast and walked in on my underage daughter changing her clothes.
Everything was comfortable and excellent. Definitely would choose hotel again. Loved how spacious the room was and all the all the accommodations it had
