The place was oriented on a kind of scary street for a night walk but probably that's the whole Los Angeles. Last night/day we didn't have hot water in the shower.

The accommodations surpassed my expectations. The property is conveniently located close to downtown, restaurants, and other reputable establishments. The shared bathroom is well-maintained, and there is a patio for relaxation. During my stay, I occupied a comfortable bunk.

I'm glad that I didn't take a look at the reviews before booking my stay. I'm unsure what people who had a negative experience were expecting but for a CHEAP hostel in the center of Los Angeles this was an amazing stay. If you're like me and just want a decent place to sleep and shower -- then give this a try. Yes, you're sharing a room with up to 6 other people but that is made clear in the booking info. The booking staff was nice and even guide me through check-in process. Would definitely stay again. Super grateful for hostel living and hope it continues to expand.

Not sure why this place isn't getting better reviews. Room was clean, fixtures worked as they should, there are provided soaps and towels. Locker and fridge for your items and food. Ample lighting options. Plus, staff and check-in was smooth, friendly, and helpful. Good stay.

This place was REALLY NOT SUITABLE AT ALL TO BE RENTED OUT. I sent email to the owner to complain about the circumstances but she used renovations as an excuse. There were (the same) piles of dirty washing lying around for the full two days we stayed there, as well as dirty dishes standing in hallway while kitchen was renovated. Our room was not clean on arrival, the wastepaper basket had old grime in it , etc. Also no place to make anything, not even a kettle or a mug, only a microwave standing on the floor, although ad said shared kitchen and living space if I remember correctly. We never saw anyone cleaning anything anywhere. We have also had renovations done at our house, but you can still clean in between. They should NOT BE RENTING OUT ROOMS IN THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! Finish the renovations and then go back onto Booking.com.

The ONLY GOOD THING about it was that it was quite central to bus stops etc.

they were renovating the room next door. the bricklayers and used the drill at 7 in the morning. I arrived and the room was not clean. there was dirt everywhere, a situation of complete squalor, in these circumstances it is not possible to keep open a structure where they are carrying out internal expansion works with bricklayers. bathroom in poor hygienic and sanitary conditions.

There was a safety issue with the floor in my room that I did bring to the attention of management via telephone text. Hopefully the issue will be resolved for future guests.

Management was very helpful and friendly. The environment was quiet so I was able to sleep peacefully.
