Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThat we live too far away to frequent it more! ☺️
Beautiful up town feel, very personable staff & fantastic attached restaurant (the brownie dessert was one of the best I’ve ever had!). Amazing gem in the middle of Kansas

United StatesI was not allowed to pay with cash at the property even though I was still putting a credit card on file.
The access to the hotel is simple and parking is never a problem. There is Starbucks on site as well as Ya-ya’s bistro. When we stay here it doesn’t even seem like we stayed in Salina. Everything is clean and in proper working order.

United StatesThere’s not a whole lot to complain about. We stay up a little later, and the pool closes at 10. It’s reasonable, but the pool closing at 10 was really the only thing.
The breakfast was amazing! The staff are super nice. The room was everything I expected and more. We sat outside and ate breakfast on the patio. It was covered in lights and absolutely beautiful. It was a rainy day, but sitting outside was like something you’d see in a movie. The pictures online don’t do it justice.

No I don't want to tell more!! I gave it an excellent rating. That should have been your last question, considering the rating.

United StatesThis is one unique place in Salina that feels upscale. Much better than anything else in town.
I had a two room unit where my son slept on the sofa sleeper. The sleeper was a nightmare to unfold and once we did get it unfolded it was sloped. Other than this, everything else was perfect.

United StatesThe airflow through the AC system was quiet and functioned very well. Still, to us, the hotel would have been perfect if it had invested in windows that could have been opened. However, that is just nitpicking to find something critical to say about a hotel that has so obviously been thoroughly designed for its guests' comfort.
This hotel is like an oasis for cross-country travelers. We arrived by 97 degrees heat to find a brand new hotel with a lovely suite that came with a fully functional kitchen. The hotel's entrance/public space area are wonderful just like the outdoor courtyard (which would have been great for sitting had it not been too hot), and immaculate amenities. The brand new pool is perfect for kids, though not really large enough for adults for swimming. Still, the kids loved it. Our floor offered a great gym and a 24 hour self-service guest laundry room, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff could not have been more welcoming and kind. There is a Starbucks located inside the hotel and a restaurant that could not have been more of a surprise. The restaurant offers actual healthy and GF options, such as cauliflower pizzas, and pasta dishes. Our favorite was the cauliflower steak. As for dessert, we had creme and fruits -- which tasted like real Italian panna -- and chocolate-filled filo dough. Delish. This all came at a very affordable price. The complimentary breakfast offered by the hotel came with real dishes and some nice options.

United StatesThere wasn’t a door into the bathroom vanity area, so one person couldn’t get ready without shining a bright light into the bedroom. The bathroom is right next to the bedroom, not down a hall like in many hotels.
It helps that the hotel is fairly new. Nothing at all negative to comment about. It’s not the Ritz, but very nice, much nicer than any of the other big chains in this price range. Really liked having a suite! Good downtown location. We were visiting family, so we didn’t try the restaurant, but it looked very pretty.

It is a beautiful setting and the main floor is gorgeous but once you go up stairs it is not so good.

United StatesWe stayed at Homewood Suites 5 nights and were there for my husband’s mom funeral. We were put in room 406. The second to the last night was New Year’s Eve we had spent the day at the funeral. They had rented out the area above us to an all night New Years party. I called the front desk at 1:30 am as the party was so loud there was no way you could sleep. I asked why they would put us in this room knowing the party was going all night. The lady at the front desk informed me she didn’t put us in the room. The party slowed down around 4:30 am. We got no sleep that night. The next day I spoke to the front desk. They comped the room 1 night and put a note and a small bag of snacks on our door. it was a terrible night.
it was a good location. facility was clean.
