    The only thing I didn’t like was that it’s also a casino and people are allowed to smoke, but that’s probably true in all casinos. Even still, the smell of smoke wasn’t overwhelming.

    Great place to stay outside the hustle and bustle of Vegas. Not too far to drive (about 40 min) to the strip and it’s in a beautiful location overlooking Lake Mead and very close to Hoover Dam. The staff were incredibly friendly and the cost of food in the restaurant was less than 1/2 what you pay on the strip. The room rates were very reasonably priced too. We were also traveling with our RV and there is a huge amount of free parking for even the biggest rigs. I highly recommend staying there. Looking forward to returning on a future trip.

    The rooms just need a refresh, a few new lamps and paint over that old wallpaper 😀. It was odd having pillows propped against that 30+ year old wallpaper.

    Fun old place. The lodge atmosphere was nice and the atmosphere and people were very friendly. Yeah the room decor was old but the beds were comfortable. Diane at the front desk was great, and the restaurant food was good and inexpensive. There's a walkway trail down to the lake if you have the time and energy.

    The pool is in a shaded area between tall buildings.

    Great stop between Grand Canyon and Death Valley. Next to the Hoover Dam. The food at the BigHorn Cafe in the hotel was really good and the service was friendly.

    Windows were dirty. Had to walk through casino to get to elevators. It was smoky but not too bad.

    Non-smoking room on 8th floor with view of the lake. Very large room. Very friendly receptionist.

    They didn’t have any bottled water or creamer and my understanding was new management took over and important things like that were not being handled correctly so hopefully they get on top of that.

    The location was perfect for our needs with a little bit of extra with the hiking trails nearby and Hoover dam nearby. Our shower dripped constantly, but the beds were awesome

    Not really an issue, but some common areas (such as the elevator) smell a lot like cigarettes. The room, however, DID NOT. No odors whatsoever. Rooms look a bit dated tho; could use a bit more lighting;

    Perfect location near Lake Mead; room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable;

    The hotel has been around for a while, and it has the charm of the end of the last century.

    Perfect location close to the Hoover Dam, great for exploring Arizona and starting a tour around the Colorado River and Grand Canyon. Adorably quiet and gets you out of the noise of nearby Las Vegas. Just 30 min by car from the airport.

    Water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, and we found the pillows good for side sleepers but not back sleepers. The lobby was a bit smoky from the casino but not terribly so.

    We arrived an hour and a half or so after landing in Las Vegas (after picking up our bags and car) and it was a good spot for visiting the dam before heading on to Arizona. If we were spending more around Boulder City I would happily stay here longer. All the staff we met were very kind and helpful. The location was ideal, especially for getting picked up for the postcard tour by Black Canyon River Adventures/Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures which leaves right from the casino parking lot. The restaurant off the lobby serves very good food for very reasonable prices. And the room was a really good size with comfortable beds and enjoyably retro décor.

    The casino computer was not functional so I could not get a card, and the lady behind the desk was more interested in her friend than helping me. The restaurants were woefully understaffed for a weekend. People left becoming tired of waiting and left. It was over an hour before we actually got food. I think the owners were more concerned with profit than service.As noted above, the staff was great.

    The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. Rooms were clean and food was good. Location was right for the dam. I liked the old time feel of the lodge and the coffee certificates were a nice touch but the casino was too small.

    The service at Big Horn Cafe. We have been to the restaurant many times over the last three years and experienced outstanding service. This visit was not the that standard. We ate dinner and breakfast: wait staff not attentive, no one at front desk to greet and seat. Staff arguing among themselves, we had to ask twice for our dinner salad and utensils. Overall poor service and long wait time. Hope management will do customer service training

    Casino machines weren’t particularly fun as there seemed to be minimal to no payout. Room heater extremely noisy. No ice available on floor. Needed to go to front desk for ice. Toilet height extremely low to floor making it difficult to get off, especially for older guests!

    Bighorn cafe has good food at reasonable prices. Large, Comfortable room General Store well stocked with gifts, souvenirs, snacks, etc.
