Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt was very dated. I am not a high maintenence traveler, but having to go down to ask for shampoo felt odd and there was no table near the sofa to set a drink or a book. It was also rather loud, I could hear the guests above me moving around.

United StatesMy room was located above the main entrance. Consequently, I could hear the conversations of, mostly men, standing around out there smoking. At one point, I had to close my window as I couldn't hear the tv. The fixtures in the bathroom, 208 need upgrading. The faucet in the tub looks like it's going to come out of the wall when I pull the knob up for the shower. The refrigerator is very old and inefficient. One of the biggest "misses" is that there is no recycling. That should be corrected imediately.
I don't eat breakfast and if I did, wouldn't eat that type of processed food. I am more inclined toward fresh fruit and yogurt.

United StatesThe staff was never available at the front desk. Had to wait on them to show up for the back. Normal wait time for them to come help you was 5 to 10 minutes before they showed up. It was the morning and evening front desk employees both of them were not friendly and were more towards the rude side. If you asked the for towels or kitchen staff they made it look like they were doing me a favor rather than their job. Rooms were ok but didn’t like there service at all.
