Just a fact: they are still remodeling the hotel, which is a good thing. I mention it just to let you know about it (may 2024)

When we arrived at our room, we saw it was not a king size bed. We asked for another room with a bigger bed and they gave us a doble bed room without charge. I want to thank specially the cleaning ladies and the rules of the hotel about find and lost policy: I forgot something in the room, when leaving the hotel. When I came back to ask for my belonging, I found out that the ladies report the forgotten thing describing it, and also writing down the number of the room, date and and name of the person who found it. This is a very positive thing I appreciate a lot. Thankyou, Josefina.

Room only had one chair to sit in. It would have been nice to have a small table and a second chair. We were only two people in the room and one of us was either standing or sitting on the bed. TV reception was poor, and no listing for chancels. Bed were to high. Not all people are tall. Platform needs to be lowered about 3 to 6 inches.

The cleaning staff did a great job. They were always polite and accommodating. Good job with breakfast.

The motel is under construction, and we chose to pay extra for the "elite" room. The TV did not work, and neither did the phone, so we couldn't call to ask for someone to help us. The floors were extremely dirty. My feet should not get dirty immediately out of the shower. There was not an iron or a blow dryer, and I needed both. I understand that people steal these items sometimes, but it's Uvalde... even the least expensive motels in San Antonio provide these accommodations, and the crime rate is much higher. The dead crickets on the floor and behind the bed were a little too much also. It really isn't a bad motel. I just feel like the attention to detail lacks in the housekeeping department. Also, if you are going to charge me almost one hundred dollars and call it an "elite" room, it should be as good as you can make the room appear. One hundred dollars is steep for any motel. Especially one with a 4.5 rating. There isn't much else to choose from, though, being Uvalde and all, so it allows the owners to charge whatever they like without concerns for others' budgets.

The bed was very comfortable and nicely made. The kind woman who was working the morning after our stay was very helpful and super friendly, as was the gentleman that checked us in. It was quiet and safe.

Despite some reconstruction work at the site the room was clean and quiet; spacious room; nice pool, great breakfast and friendly stuff.

My main problem was the hotel didn't have hot water from the afternoon until the night. I asked the front desk and she said their water was turned off and now was on but they had no hot water. She said the hotel manager was informed but she didn't know what was going to be done to get hot water. Several guests were coming to front desk to find out about the hot water. The employee was nice but didn't know what was going to happen. I went to dinner and later checked at 10 pm and still didn't have hot water. When I woke up at 6 am the hot water was working. I didn't feel any sense of urgency from hotel about the situation which I feel like is critical when staying at lodging. I'm willing to overlook a lot of things but I expect, clean sheets and bed, being able to take a hot shower and a safe environment. In addition, my TV didn't have any live TV that was listed as being offered in the room like local tv channels and the basic cable channels.

I think the hotel is being remodeled and my room was very nice, comfortable and clean.

They are currently renovating the rooms and although ours was lacking somewhere to hang clothes, and a couch or table and chairs, we were only there one night so not an issue! Being a woman, I’d appreciate better lighting in the bathroom for applying makeup. But you’re not alone in that issue!!

The refrigerator made a loud knocking noise so much that we had to unplug it to sleep. The TV's are outdated. The battery covering on the remote was broken and would not stay on.

The beds were plenty comfortable. The plugs and USB connections for charging devices easily assessable.

Dark where the ice machine was located. Building is under repair; pallets of materials scattered throughout property. Wasn't sure if pool was supposed to be green. Overall, it met my needs, and I felt safe with cameras installed near my door. Didn't appreciate staff coming in to clean when I clearly refused cleaning service to cleaning staff. A switch to control all the lights would have been nice, and maybe some ceiling lights, as well.

Easy checkin, staff was accommodating. Room was comfortable. Bed was great; slept too well! Nice, full breakfast. Cold ac. Good wifi. Cheerful yellow walls and beautiful picture on wall. Pretty bedspread.
