How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We stopped here for one night as it is midway between the Grand Canyon and the Californian west coast. It was 39 degrees Centigrade when we arrived mid-afternoon!! The beds were very comfortable. Convenient on-site free parking. American “motel style” hotel with standard size rooms and own front door. Everything was pretty basic but everything worked. Individual aircon units in each room were effective but a bit noisy. Good value for money. Extremely good location with lots of restaurants and shops, including an outlet mall, in the area. The included breakfast was a great surprise - coffee, juices, various breads and bagels, yoghurts, cereals, freshly baked waffles, freshly made eggs, bacon etc. Very popular. Staff were friendly.

The refrigerator was turned off when we got to our room. Fortunately, it cooled fairly quickly. I did appreciate that the refrigerator had a freezer compartment to place my ice pack.
The Innkeeper has owned this motel for 21 years. Over the years, we have stayed at this Rodeway Inn. The Innkeeper prides himself in providing a cooked hot breakfast. He did not disappoint --- with a choice of scrambled eggs with or without cheese or a cheese omelet. It was cooked to order. Thank-you! Thank-you!

Would have liked more choice for breakfast but understand as this is a small business. Ensuite a little small. Powdered milk with tea/coffee machine.
First floor room as we requested so able to park right outside. Room size good, with hanging area, iron and ironing board. Tea/coffee machine to make own hot drinks in room. Very clean room and free WiFi excellent. Great value for money.

We traveled with a pet and they put pets upstairs which makes it difficult to take our pet out, since we are seniors. I don't know why they put pets upstairs but they should consider the guests age also.
Breakfast was great and the location worked out great for everything we needed to attend.

It would be good to document the seasons the pool of open. The shower didn't get hot, would only reach luke warm at best.

Quite hot in the room and airco was noisy and too strong to keep it all night long. Bed was not clean
Breakfast was great!. Simple but lots of variety. Beds are comfy and rooms are pretty big. Good value for money

It was all good for the price.
Breakfast was very good, host cooked eggs and waffles to order. Convenient location to break up the journey between LA and Vegas.

As a LA - Las Vegas stopover it's all anyone could ask for. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very secure parking lot, very well lit and covered with security cameras.

We had a large 26' moving van we couldn't park in the lot and had to go across the street where it was less secure. The road was busy too and it was difficult to cross the sometimes. But it worked out.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! Lots of variety and our eggs were cooked any way we wanted.

The food was of very high quality, the eggs were prepared in front of us, the fresh fruit included fresh strawberries. The manager was delightful.

The outside smelled like pee when we came. And the morning breakfast crew felt a little rude. They dint have signs anywhere saying we shouldn’t touch the hot plates. Also they seemed like rushing for no reason.
The room was comfortable, and the two people who greeted us when we checked in were warm and welcoming.

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were all friendly and the location was great. It was far enough from the highway that the noise level was low. Very quite. We actually stayed there on our way to our destination and our way home since it was quiet, clean, friendly and affordable.
