Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesYou're overpriced you charged too much money for I needed an extra towel. I gotta pay a $1.50 if I want anything it costs money, you should be a little bit more upfront, you should not charge everything so there is no amenity there so you're basically a rent apartment for a day?

This place was horrible, the guy at the front desk was rude, approx. 9pm my Mom and I walked in with our luggage he looks then I said hi he proceeded to ask do you need anything 'umm yeah we need to check in' like what did he think with us walking to the counter with our luggage smh , they don't provide an iron, the sleeper sofa I couldn't use, it had crumbs/dirt on it when I opened it crumbs fell to the floor, no closet door, there wasn't any silverware dishware to eat yet reading the paper work it does say dishes could be 'purchased' SMH, if I didn't have my 83 yr old Mother with me I would have left, the place was dirty I choose to wait to get home to shower, you could tell the room hasn't been cleaned there were finger print marks left of the night stand/table I'm sure from prior guest... The place was plan ole dirty...there wasn't a hair dryer, had to walk sideways to get to the bed because the bed is so close to the AC/Heat unit, This place makes Columbia look bad. I couldn't wait to fall asleep to wake up AND Leave

The CONFIRMED reservation I made through booking.com was NOT honored at the time of check-in. They simply did not have the room and the confirmation was meaningless. They would not help to transfer the reservation. We went to one nearby and they did not honor the reservation and charged much more. It's as if I hadn't even made a reservation with booking.com at all. Very disappointing and unethical. I would like to be reimbursed for the difference between my confirmed reservation and what I had to pay.

United StatesI waited for over a half hour to get checked in after a 19 hr shift, which didnt thrill me. (730 pm). Then the next night, my key card didn't work to get me in to the lobby and waited 15 minutes to have someone let me in (midnight)
It was clean and comfortable and a good value. The staff was friendly.
