Desk clerk was very unprofessional and not friendly.

After arriving to the hotel one evening, a strong scent of marijuana was in our room from one of the rooms next to us. However, after notifying the front desk we were quickly moved to another room with no problem! The assistance from staff was wonderful!

We stayed two nights. Breakfast was sufficient. I had to ask for milk the first day and the hostess said there was only enough milk for one bowl of cereal so we did use the remainder of the milk. The juice machine offered 3 types of juice and water. However, there was no juice either day. On the second day a sticky note said, "Enjoy the water". I expected the manager to at least run to the grocery to obtain a gallon of juice by the second day, but alas, no. Decaf coffee was mostly plain water. Scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuit and gravy were good. Mind you breakfast was from 6 am -9 am and we arrived at 6:40 am. I did not notice that this hotel accepted smokers and pets. Had I, I wouldn't have stayed and that's my fault. Access is from an exterior hallway. Our neighbors were smokers and obviously did not obtain a smoking room because they spent the evening out in the hallway smoking. I asked my husband if he could smell cigarette smoke and he said yes because the door did not have a seal around it. So a shoved towels under the door until the neighbors went inside. There was a sign in the bathroom saying in order to save water, linens and towels would not be changed except every 3 days, which is fine with me. I'm used to that from other hotels, so I just hung up my towels. It did not mention that there would be no maid service. However, when we returned in the evening, after spending the day at Unclaimed Baggage, no one had come in to make the bed, empty trash, replace coffee, shampoo or toilet tissue. This I found to be unacceptable. While it was an inexpensive hotel and we got what we paid for, I would upgrade the next time I am in Scottsboro, AL area.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Good location. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Pool was open. The hotel served a hot breakfast. Hotel is supposed to be in the process of a remodel.

We didn’t get the room we requested and the first room they put us in reeked of cigarette smoke. We requested a new room and it was still not a king as booked and there was no peep hole in the door. There was an empty hole straight through the door where it should have been that we had to stuff with a paper towel because it lead straight outside. The room was not very clean either and the sheets had stains and hair everywhere.

If I pay good money for a room then I should expect hot water! 2 out of 4 days was without hot water! Had to go to my families to shower! Never offered a refund for having to go without water! Very disappointing!

First room was unclean and not handicap accessible, despite advance reservations and mostly empty parking lot. If the room had even had a rail into the tub, it would have been acceptable. Staff next day were awesome about helping us get a handicap accessible room. Room was not cleaned daily, but hotel appeared short staffed.

Handicap accessible room for disabled family member, but when we first checked in, the clerk said no handicap accessible rooms were available.

had to change rooms after unloading everything due to heater in room didn’t work. After moving, the tv remote would not work. There was no batteries in the remote.

The room was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING... It smelled HORRIBLE, the office desk chair looked like it came from a dumpster. There was a hair on the Bed and stains on the pillow case. The carpet was so NASTY I wore socks and threw them away. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Checked out early and CHARGED me for an extra day. Very disappointed
