How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The beds were hard as a rock! The breakfast was lacking even for a continental breakfast. It was mostly Little Debbie cakes just unwrapped and placed on a tray. They did have a waffle maker. The lobby was being remodeled and the construction crew were talking so loud that I couldn't hear the clerk checking me.
The staff members were nice and helpful. The room was clean.

The fact I made a reservation wanting a pool with access on Thursday I even made special requests about the pool and gym. Also my door had been kicked in before and it didn't have a extra safety lock

Housekeeping going in my room when I wasn't there. They took my dirty towels and didn't take my garbage. Eventually they fixed everything, after I complained.
The rooms were clean and spacious and water pressure was great

The Pillowcases had Stains and the Sheets had Stains and the Bed Spread Had Stains on it. The TV Channels was Snowy and seemed to be like over the air antenna Channels. I was told I booked a room that didn't exist.
I like The Location, The Shower, And the Bed Slept Good! The Pool Looked Great Also. Great Air conditioning! The Fridge worked well Also!

Pool was stained, kind of gross. Water was clean though. LOUD guests kept us awake for a while after 11 or so in the parking lot.

Whatever aroma they clean with was overwhelming and we felt smothered by it. Plugs were insufficient and inadequate. Tub drained so slowly that I was standing in 4 inches of water during my shower. Breakfast was terrible. First the pancake machine was plugged up and we couldn’t get any out, then we waited 20 minutes for them to fix it and the waffles were disgusting. The choice of other breakfast items was sorely lacking.

It was a nice room, the pull out bed was unusable due to the fact it had not been cleaned after the last use. We had an air condition that did not seem to quite cool the entire room off. The breakfast was a warm waffle breakfast but that was about all. There were snack cakes instead of fresh bread and fruits available. We did however enjoy the pool. The staff was accommodating on extra rags and pool towels.

This lodging still smacks of it's 1970's heritage. It really need better updating. Upgrades were poorly executed. TV constantly powered itself off and restarted for no reason. Bathroom door cleared the toilet by only 1/4 inch when opened. Very clumsy! A/C worked well.
This lodging was well below expectation considering the price of the room per night, although the pool was open and clean! Our previous stay here was December 2020 for 35% less. Not many lodging options in the area.

Other guests were very loud, highway and train also nearby. TV reception was horrible, phone in room didn't work, some of lamp recepticles did not work.
Staff was friendly. Overall appearance of the place was pretty good.

Garbage and animals outside on the entry coming in, in the parking lot etc. Kind of scary on a late arrival. Meager breakfast choices.

The overall facility was a bit run down, but not so much that it detracted from my stay.

But it’s very dated and wifi is spotty. Tables at breakfast weren’t very clean.
Check-in was fast, easy, and friendly. Room was clean. Nice location - right next door to a Cracker Barrel.
