How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only thing was the bath towels were very thin did not dry off to well.
The breakfast was👎🏻 I tried twice to make the waffles they would not be cook the middles. They need a small amount of danishes to choose from.

I had a no smoking room and it smelled like smoke the entire second floor was smelly.. the breakfast had water, oj and coffee… waffles, yogurt, apples, fruit loops and raisin brand… absolutely no protein items… was disappointed in the breakfast included scheme… my toilet didn’t flush right and gross stains in the room

No king size room available on ground floor. Refrigerator was on a plastic tray with stagnant water on it. Industrial fan on floor upon arrival. One young gentleman who worked one evening was very rude and disrespectful.
Location and friendly staff except for one.

Waffle mix was gross, watered down orange juice. Coffee was left in cups when they ran out without explanation looking like it was someone else's coffee. Light in the bathroom wouldn't go on and then finally it sputtered and finally lit after i had to #2 using my phone as my only light.

The breakfast options lacked much variety and the coffee was not good. We were here only to avoid potentially dangerous smoke and gasses from a rail disaster so we would probably not have a need to stay here again.

We had ants in our room... didn't know until I left my cup sit on the night stand..it had pop in it..and they was everywhere...and their curtains are awful..they have white sheer curtains to cover the window..no way to close the darker ones...they only covered the edge of each side..when we pulled into our parking space..our neighbor was naked shaving in the mirror...so..if you stay here...remember that everyone that parks or walks by your window... you can be seen from the outside...plus the morning sun beats in the window...
Quiet..Appears to be safe area...many food choices very close by...staff was very friendly..helped w an accommodation I needed...there's some sort of pond at the back of the property that we enjoyed walking around and watching..very rural area...

We had to move rooms due to gas smell. Pillows were horrible to sleep on. No breakfast even though it was included in the price. Not even any coffee. They ran out. Room keys had to be fixed 3 times and overall not the best experience. Tv remote broken as well

Could have used an extra towel/washrag the bathroom but that’s really the only thing I could think of!
The woman that checked us in was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcomed from the moment we walked in the door! :)

Did not once service my room due to "Covid-19" restrictions. Did not mention it at check-in that I have to ask to get m y room serviced. Was there for a week, no fresh towels, never took the trash out, never swept the room, and not once asked if i needed anything.
