Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaSome items would run out eg. pancakes, waffles when it was busy.
Great buffet breakfast with a wide selection, kept us fuelled up for the day. Outdoor hot tubs and heated pool were fantastic after a big day of skiing!

GermanyAwful waiting lines (40 minutes) for breakfast - no difference if you are early or late. Breakfast buffet was quite empty very early in the morning. No or only very slow refill. Service people difficult to find or reach out to. Service in Chets Restaurant was poor. Long and dark hallways. After moving to the 3rd (upper) floor we had quiet nights.
Location for skiing: Ski-in / ski-out is perfect. Chairlift just across the door. Clean and modern rooms with enough storage possibilities. Lots of possibilities to hang around outside your room.

United StatesStaff really struggling at breakfast service. Lots of inefficiencies that they try to work through. Had raw sausages one morning, which is a result of the kitchen rushing out food during breakfast rush. Staff was apologetic but things like getting coffee took longer than needed (they could have had it out for guests to refill on their own). In room WiFi was also terrible. It barely worked so the tv couldn’t connect to its own internet.
Excellent location. Ski valet.

AustraliaLineup for breakfast was a complete disaster. I cannot emphasise enough how bad it is waiting for 20 minutes to be seated and going skiing late because of it even though the restaurant was only half full!!!

United StatesBeds were supposed to be Queens. They definitely were not queen beds, more like a double bed. Hotel is old and needs refurbishing. We heard the people upstairs EVERY morning at 6AM; sounded like the kids were jumping off the beds with ski boots on. This went on for 30 min. Complained to hotel management and they said if it happened again......ie, no resolution. Soundproofing in hotel not great.
Hotel had great breakfast for guests every morning. Clean rooms and nice showers/bathrooms. Rooms great for 2 people. Not great for family, a two 'queen bed' room was very crowded for 2 adults and 2 kids.

United StatesWe heard people talking in the hall late at night and people above you walking around and talking late at night. The fitness center had no working TV. Breakfast was slow - they were short staffed and it took a long time to get the breakfast that was included with the room price.
Nice location. The room was fine. The hotel was very dog friendly.

United KingdomThe tallest mountain is closed for the entire summer due to ski lift upgrades. No bar in the hotel to sit and enjoy a drink after 9.30.
The lift passes to go up the Mountain were complementary, which saved us $130. The hotel was lovely and the room was exceptional. The breakfast was the best inclusive meal we've ever had as a breakfast.

United StatesUnfortunately, the dinning room was understaffed so in order to have breakfast we had to wait over an hour to be seated. The first morning (a Saturday), we weren’t seated until lunch time. We were using the day to just relax, so it wasn’t a huge issue, but I can see how it would be inconvenient if we needed to leave or be somewhere. The restaurant staff were so kind and gracious and you could tell that they felt so bad about a situation that was totally out of their hands. A group of people were complaining behind us about the host, but it wasn’t his fault at all. He was wearing many hats and doing everything he could. Understaffing is a huge issue everywhere, I just hope Huntley can alive this staffing issue. Ski lodge staff should be offered housing since these places are located in areas made for millionaires—how can you even afford to work there?
This was such a cozy place! The lodge itself had so many cozy seating areas as you would expect from a ski lodge; and the room was top notch. Comfortable bed, comfortable temperature, amazing bathroom and great amenities. The pool and hot tub was also very nice. The staff were incredible. Every single person we interacted with treated us like we were some sort of VIPs. And went out of their way to make sure we felt 100% welcome and appreciated. We loved that the stay came with such a delicious breakfast (think steakhouse quality) and complementary scenic lift tickets. It was a great experience.

United StatesWe stayed on the second floor. The building is nicely renovated but was constructed in the early ‘70s, I guess out of wood. Every footstep from the room and hallway above was transmitted into our room. It was very noisy. Ask for a third floor room.

United Statesthe rooms are kinda small and the price is expensive but that is to be expected for a peak season ski vacation.
it had everything we needed. room wasn’t huge, but we didn’t plan on spending much time there. the best part was the breakfast buffet such a good way to start your day before heading on the slopes. the verity every day. I was blown away. also the outdoor heated pool was the best way to end your day. it was a short walk from the base and the explorer lift is right there.
