Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI found although the valet service was good, the price at $40 was very steep though and a hotel of this calibre really should have parking on site as that was the only off putting aspect of my stay. Also the breakfast was decent it really should had more variety for people who do not eat pork. But it was generally good.
The staff were genuinely friendly and very accommodating which made every interaction with them a pleasant experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the gym and the hygene level was excellent. i would definitely enjoy another stay.

AustraliaBeautiful hotel, modern bathroom with huge shower, huge soft bed plus lounge and kitchenette. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic (although I wish it didn’t finish at 10am, I needed the sleep and therefore missed it one morning). The staff were extremely friendly, including the receptionist Tanisha who was happy to give me a late checkout, the housekeeper Patricia who helped me work the coffee machine in my room, and the kitchen and restaurant staff.

Lovely new hotel in a historic property across from Sutter's Fort. Room is comfortable, quiet, well equipped. Staff super helpful and friendly. There is also a good complimentary breakfast in the Star Lounge, with views of the tree lined street. Highly recommend!

SwitzerlandThe piped in pop music is loud and awful: it makes mealtime unpleasant. The room was okay but had a corporate blandness that was sort of depressing. They don’t give you bathroom amenities like body lotion.

Really good facilities, great room, the location was great. Good check-out time (12 pm rather than 11 am as in many hotels). Our dog got a special little gift from the staff!
