Walls are not soundproof. Could clearly hear the person upstairs singing and having a phone conversation.

Some person in the Red room (they have 3 different colors for room naming ) was sleeping with their door open, I found that weird. This is not related to place but to person :( The house is not that bad, the neighborhood is a bit shady but it was fine. I can relate to some people's similar comments about it.

room and house were fine to sleep for a couple of nights. Good kitchen downstairs if you want to cook or use the fridge during your stay. Good for value but it is hard to reach the city center by Bus, using Uber makes a lot of sense there.

The area around the flat is quite dodgy. Also, I was able to hear one of the other resident's voice during his virtual meetings. Maybe it was because the walls were very thin but it was difficult to focus on my work or sleep.

The room was exceptionally clean and all the furniture looked new.

Some of the townhouses seemed run down. The neighborhood looked a bit rough and dirty.The people we met seemed friendly though.

Very cute and clean. Bed was amazingly comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. Host supplied all the extras to help make the stay super comfortable.

The cab left us on the back side of the property and that part of the neighborhood didn’t seem very nice, but once you get inside the property is a totally different world.

Andy’s place has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, the place is super clean and he was always available for any questions we had.

Expensive for something shared. There wasn’t much in the area as far as bars and restaurants. Netflix wouldn’t work on the TV.

The townhouse complex is very blighted and slum-like, and one must walk through the complex to get to the unit. It is very poorly lit at night and feels scary and unsafe. If you come in after 9 pm there is absolutely nowhere to park on the street. Since I couldn’t park my car, I had to forfeit my stay and go elsewhere. The property is not near the Hyde Park business district or the lake at all, in fact it isn’t even in Hyde Park. I’m used to urban environments, but charging $70 a night to share with two strangers - which isn’t clear in the booking description- in such a dysfunctional environment is, frankly, outrageous. I sent several messages to Andy via email and text which weren’t returned.

As others have noted, the unit itself was clean, updated, and in good condition. One of the other renters (Michael) was very kind and helpful when I decided to leave instead of spending the night.

The photographs they show are completely false. The host sent me a photo of the facade Just before my check in and the reality was different, I almost couldn't get to the place, it's a rather unsafe space

Neighborhood community is bad. Many slums poor homeless and criminals running around. Guy urinated on sidewalk mid-day. My car was broken and ransacked middle of the night. Someone did steal many roadside assistance items and documents to my car. Buildings are run down not kept up. Even though it's by a university but that doesn't matter it is not a safe area. Police told me to relocate.

The house is really cozy and clean. It's only a five minute drive from the green line park&ride in a quiet area close to many fast food restaurants and a Walmart.
