Although had lots of hangers, could have also used small dresser with drawers. We would have liked to have met the hosts; their family did a fine job looking after our needs when asked, but often seemed away or busy. Appreciate it was beyond hosts' control but note that there was a noisy construction site across the river that did distract from the peace and quiet.

Great spot to relax for 5 nights at end of our vacation. Private location with lovely lanai and lawns. Well decorated bedroom with comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Small fridge and microwave meant we could warm up a takeout meal and keep left-overs.

Tamara and Bob have a hidden gem here! They were so kind, welcoming and attentive. The location is amazing and very peaceful. My wife and I loved to explore the property and sit by the river. The breakfasts provided were perfect and so yummy! Thank you both for making part of our honeymoon on Maui special.

A beautiful, relaxing, homely environment, surrounded by lush tropical bush and the soothing sound of the nearby waterfall. The property is secluded but very close to all the amenities of Kahului. You can see part of the coast but you need to drive to a beach, which is fine as I imagine most visitors would have a hire car. The continental breakfast was very satisfying and alternated with different pastries and fresh fruit, enjoyed in our private outdoor kitchenette/dining area [included a toaster, microwave, bar fridge, and pod coffee machine]. Our hosts, Tamara and Bob, were very friendly and helpful [and we were always warmly greeted by their pet German Shepherd]. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay there again.

Tropical bush location. Has its own creek through peaceful acres. Quiet, yet only a few minutes to Kahului. Fresh tropical fruits and pastries for breakfast. Microwave only but crockery for other snacks.

We liked everything!

Wonderful location, in one of the most beautiful parts of Maui. So much nicer than staying in a resort hotel. So peaceful - just the sound of the river and birds - with fabulous views, a comfortable room and delicious breakfasts left on our own patio/fridge for the next day. One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed.

Can’t really think of anything in particular!

We found the Iao Valley Inn to be a great place to stay during our week in Maui. The Inn is set in its own very private, beautiful and extensive grounds and is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Furthermore, it is just a short drive from the airport, close to good facilities and central enough to have allowed us to explore the entire island during our stay. Tamara and Bob were great hosts, the former providing us with fresh water, fresh fruit and tasty breakfast treats on a daily basis. We felt really comfortable there and would certainly re-book if we ever had the opportunity in the future.

The place is manicured and well furnished. They even have beach chairs and boogie boards and coolers for the guests to use at the beach. Breakfast is great, varied, and provided every evening in your fridge. The place is completely secluded in a lush area, always cooler because of the mountains and the breeze. The vulcano backdrop is stunning. Location is central to reach any of the places in Maui.

We booked the Palms room for our honeymoon. Tamara and Bob were wonderful hosts, and Kathy does a superb job cleaning before guest arrival. Amenities such as beach towels, boogie boards, and bug spray were always available (things we did not think abt bringing). We were able to try different fresh fruit as Tamara stocked a mini fridge with fresh fruit, juice, and water as well as either banana bread or a pastry (at no additional cost). We also had access to a coffee maker which was used regularly. The property is beautiful and easy to find. It is in the perfect location for exploring Maui and there’s a beautiful view right off the lanai (porch) of the mountains and of sunrises/sunsets. They do have a dog, Kahu, who is incredibly friendly and not skittish or hyper. While we do love dogs anyways and enjoyed giving her pets, she is perfectly safe for families with children or those who are nervous around dogs. We didn’t hear her bark, she responds well to directions, and does not follow you around the property. Very well trained. Any issues we had were immediately addressed by Tamara or Bob and they make themselves readily available (even before 7 am—sorry, Bob!). Overall, we gratefully enjoyed our stay and have decided if we return to Maui we have every intention of staying there again.

Views from the property and walk around the stay were exceptional. Tamara was very kind and made sure that we were comfortable during our entire stay.

The bed was too soft, making it a little bit uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was small, in hindsight we would have been better off with buying everything we needed at the supermarket.

Very quiet location with peaceful surroundings. Central location for going to all the destinations we wanted to see. A coffee machine, microwave and toaster oven are in the room or on the lanai. Tamara was very welcoming.
