Airconditioning in first room 201 was loud. Switched rooms and next room (302) was excellent. Enjoyed a party on the top floor on Sunday morning. Excellent service and view from up top.

I understand the hotel was under repair during the winter. Looked to be in good shape when we were there!

The downstairs was completely under renovations with no restaurants or any amenities open. Our room was clean but it was extremely hot as the air conditioner was not working well. We turned down the air but the room stayed around 78 degrees all night.

The location was fantastic. I love old buildings. I absolutely appreciate the architecture of this building. I also loved being able to walk outside and be right downtown. They staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The view from our room showed an old banyan tree in downtown. It was absolutely beautiful.

So utterly disappointed in my experience with this hotel. I booked through booking.com and paid the extra to have breakfast included. I noticed day 1 that we were being charged for breakfast and talked with the front desk personnel as soon as I saw the extra charges. I still continued to be charged. Each day I spoke to someone and asked for the GM to call me so we could get this fixed. Saturday as we were coming back, I once again stopped by the front desk asking if the GM had been in yet and if it had been fixed. Low and behold, he is standing right there about to leave!!!! So the GM had come in and still had not even looked at what was going on. He then had the nerve to look at me and say, "Oh no no no. We don't have a package that includes breakfast." So they don't even know what packages they offer! After I showed him proof that I paid for breakfast to be included he said he would take off those charges. Guess what I am still being charged for....yea, breakfast. The room was subpar for what I spent. Access panel for plumbing was just sitting on the bathroom floor. The Keurig had mold spots and slime that came out when we made a cup of coffee. Housekeeping is below average and I am pretty sure one of them took $15 in cash that I had sitting next to the dirty disgusting Keurig. The only saving grace was the staff (besides the GM). The staff was the absolute sweetest and so helpful. The staff at the Banyan and the valet were amazing people!!!

My sink in the bathroom was broken; the little plunger was sealed shut. The sink was almost full just from washing our hands. Had to use a couple of towels to soak up the water and get some more room!

Walking in, the entrance is gorgeous! It doesn’t look like a typical hotel at all. Definitely elevated decor! The rooftop bar was closed during my stay, but I went to check it out anyway. It’s a beautiful view and the pool looked so nice. Just too cold to use because of the weather! Definitely need a jacuzzi/hot tub added up there!

Mold in the shower and around ac vent.central ac not operational instead you have a window unit that is so loud it will prevent you from sleeping. No turn down service on 3 night stay. Hotel was under renovation which we knew in advance however it is not priced accordingly. We paid $289/night for a dingy room and zero hotel amenities (no bar, restaurant, or pool) we were forced to select that hotel because we were traveling with out dog but we put my mom at the luminary hotel which is 2 blocks away, brand new for $279/night. Never again will I stay at this hotel or this chain.

Room was a bit dusty, old curtains/chair, bed was lumpy-sank in a bit. No mini-fridge as advertised and the safe wasn't working (no one came to replace during my stay). Hotel is still under construction, as expected, so not much open but the room definitely felt like it was waiting for a renovation- very basic, didn't look like photos at all. Bathroom was clean, shower was nice; towels were good. Didn't bother using Keurig machine since no fridge to keep creamer. Cable TV and aircon worked, so that was something. Just expected more cleanliness and attention to detail especially since going through pandemic. Overall was OK but maybe when they're done with renovations it will be better. For now I'd only recommend if you're really needing a place.

Room and bath were spacious, nice shower. Room was quiet. Great location, staff were friendly. The Standard restaurant downstairs was great.

We were disappointed that the rooftop bar and pool were closed. If this information had been noted while we booked our stay we would have tried another place because we were planning on swimming and checking out the bar once we were done with the taco/tequila crawl.

The bed was very comfortable.
