Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe snacks in the private bar were very overpriced and from what I've been told, photography with the typical DSLR camera is not permitted on the rooftop which saddened me a bit as I have been wanting to take photos of DTLA on a rooftop at night.
Very beautiful building and room with amazing, friendly, and helpful staff and wonderful location in the middle of the city as I love Los Angeles so much. I will definitely come back to stay again.

South KoreaGuests pass by the lobby floor at the highest, whenever they come to their rooms. The accessibility is a bit time-demanding, even though this is natural for safety and great sky view. You may have patience to wait for an elevator coming sometimes. Please take your time for it. The room charge may by quite challenging, depending on guests' budgets. Meanwhile, you may want to bestow yourself a personal gift with stay at this hotel.
The hotel is so fancy in facilities, size, and modernity and has very grand and beautiful city and sky view, which is its main attraction, I think. My family loved staying at the hotel with this great view at the lobby floor. The breakfast was so fresh and tasty with a lot of choice. You may not regret to experience their breakfast and professional service. The dishes were normal at a bar. It has many restaurants near the hotel, some of which I experienced from googling provided tasty dishes. The hotel is located in good venue accessible to major attractions and museums in LA. The hotel is guarded and supported by professional staff from my experience.

United StatesWe were given a room on floor 39 instead of a "high floor", because ours was "unavailable" during check-in. The very nice receptionist offered me a $20 credit towards beverages at the bar (which I didn't use), and an extra pull-on bed free of charge, which I highly appreciated. The elevator system needed to be get used to. To travel between floors you have to first go to level 70, enjoy the view and then go to your room, gym or whatever. Every time someone in the elevator grumbled about this weirdness. The valet-only parking was $68 a day, the highest price in my experience.
The breakfast was AMAZING (even for its price of $39 per person plus 18% mandatory gratitude for our family of four). I have never seen six flavors of smoked/marinated fish, besides a large variety of ham, eggs, sausages, pastry, vegetables, cereals and high quality fruit served all at once each day in a hotel breakfast buffet. The gym was fantastic - large, exceptionally well equipped, with added dry saunas and showers. Great view from our room on 39th floor to the LA downtown and beyond. The room and the beds were comfortable. The hotel provided an extra full-sized bed free of charge!

United KingdomI’m not a huge fan of downtown LA, so I needed to make sure I had a car to get further afield. The property only offers valet parking which is an outstanding $68.20 a night which is quite a lot considering when we were in Hollywood we found car parking for $15 a night. So do bear this in mind it you choose to drive. The property also adds a $25 compulsory cost which you can deduct on beverages, but this isn’t clear when you book on booking.com. We checked if you can use it on snacks, that was a solid no. They also charge bottles of water which is not great at $7 a pop.
Really loved the location of the property, it felt pretty secluded though it was central downtown area. It has over 70 floors so you get a stunning view of the city. The check in and check out was seamless and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Also room service is super fast. The beds are comfortable and an excellent size, the toiletries were Byredo so it felt luxurious. Unsure why this is a 4 star when it really should be a 5.
