All seemed to be pretty good.

Lovely house and comfortable bed with all that you'd need. 20 minute walk into main town area or 5 minute drive. Host was great and all facilities available. A great place to stay as a single or a couple. Only a 10 minute walk to a lively bar / restaurant area, yet in a very quite and safe street.

The house is beautiful and it would have been great to enjoy it more. Unfortunately we arrived very late because we spent extra time in Death Valley. However everything was well organized by the host and it was really easy to get the key and we could rapidly settle down and relax after a very long day on the road.

There were some fleas. Especially in dining room. It could use a flea spraying. It was a minor detail, because everything else was so charming.

Very quaint victorian duplex. Was actually quite spacious, with living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. More than enough room for two. Host was very attentive and thorough. Location is great. Plenty of off street parking, too.

As a solo traveller I did not use the private living room off my bedroom. Seems like either rearranging the furniture to make it more comfortable or making it a second bedroom would work better. Bathroom shower was great complete with a quality body wash, but needed more surface area to put stuff in there and in the main bedroom, like another night stand or side table next to the chair. Used the bed to put my feet up since there was no foot stool. In a pinch that works.

Great location. Coffee and bars/ restaurants within walking distance. Street parking was always available. Even a neighborhood Target where I bought a folding umbrella. The hostess was so kind and friendly. I really appreciated the electric fireplace. Was unseasonably cold in late March. Next time I hope to get to walk to the farmers market with Kari and Bruce, her Great Dane. What an experience that would have been! Big thank you for giving me a feel for how the locals live!

Parking can be a challenge. We basically just left our car where it was when we arrived and walked everywhere. Given the lack of enforcement of property and drug crimes and as a recent victim of a car break-in while visiting Oakland, my sense of security for this area needed me to be extra vigilant. However, our car was left alone while parked at this location. I suspect the storms while we were there had driven many of the sidewalk campers off the street and into shelters.

Very good location. Many of the venues we wanted to visit in Old Scaramento were easily accessed by walking. Several very good restaurants were also within easy walking distances. The host was very welcoming and the place was spacious and had good furnishings.

The location was perfect for us to meet with our families on each side of the city. We were able to keep our pet with us for the whole four day trip. The host was the best.

Feel a bit petty putting this but there was a slight musky smell to the property upon arrival - it is a period wood house so it may just be normal for that type of property but if you are very sensitive to smells it might impact what is otherwise a great place.

Super location, has everything you could need for a short stay including a launderette and fantastic donut store just opposite. Owner is on-hand and very helpful.
