All 4 of us are seniors so the steps were a bit challenging but we made it work.

The location was great. There were several great restaurants within walking distance and very easy to find.

Be careful of what you wear in the pool. My whole groups bathing suits & hats were all "bleached" beyond repair. A few of us had bought new items specifically for the trip and are trash now. RINSE whatever you wear in the pool immediately after you get out ( or wear old items in the pool)

The grounds transport you to a tropical jungle inside the little town of Old Key West. The location was perfect walking distance to either the Marina or to Duvall St.

Wish the pool was deeper then 5 foot, there was a full kitchen but no oven. The pictures on the site did not fully reflect the room we stayed in which was more then I expected. Had I known there was a full kitchen we would have planned our stay differently. No place to park on property so wouldn’t recommend getting a rental.

I really enjoyed being able to go out onto the balcony, having access to the pool and the location of the property. Bike rental on property, beautiful garden and patio area.

Our room would not be a great location for those who are differently abled as there is no elevator to assist with going up and down the stairs (which are a bit narrow as an older property) and the brick is a little uneven. So if you have need for assistance in these areas, be sure to reach out to the property to see if another onsite location is a bit friendlier for those who are differently abled. The property is wonderful and will be happy to answer your questions.

We stayed in the Cigar House. We absolutely loved the room and the hammock/view. It was incredibly relaxing. There were four of us and it was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was great. There was only one bathroom, but that was absolutely no issue because there was plenty of room to do makeup, hair, etc, outside of the bathroom. We truly loved the physical location as well and were able to walk to all places we wanted without any difficulty.

The only thing we wished is that our room had 2 bathrooms instead of 1. We had room #17, the 2 bedroom suite. Everything else was great.

The ladies at the front desk were so sweet, I spoke with 3 of them. They gave us extra room keys, they helped us with bike rentals. They gave me extra pool towels and let us keep our bags in the office after we checked out and before we left for our flight. The woman who worked for housekeeping was very sweet as well when she came in to clean up and change our towels. We absolutely loved the atmosphere, the historic building and large porch that our room had. We loved the courtyard area with the ponds and fish, the water machine was great. The pool was amazing and loved that there was a bathroom and multiple showers by the pool. The bike rentals worked perfectly for us. One of my favorite parts was our little black kitty friend who came to visit us. The location near Duval street was absolutely perfect. Loved this place!

Our only complaint was that the mattress really needs to be upgraded.

We stayed in the "Arch building" with a great balcony overlooking Eaton St. The room was beautifully appointed, with a small but handy kitchenette. The gardens and pool area are a great escape from the busyness of Old Town.

The location is fantastic and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is great and was not crowded or noisy. Our studio accommodations were larger than expected and overall my wife and I felt like the Island City House more than met our needs.

We liked everything except one staff but the rest of the staff were nice.

We really enjoyed the secluded yet tropical atmosphere and waterfall with gold fish. The rooms were big & clean with a kitchen and living room at the Cigar house. The pool was great. Clean towels daily if you want them. The hammocks were so comfortable. The Island City House was close and walking distance (12 minutes) or biking distance (5 minutes) to the main activities including Duvall St. and the coast as well. It is in a safe area. Great place to relax and call Home Base! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room decor is a bit dated and needed more outlets in bedrooms. Be aware that rooms facing Eaton Street get a lot of vehicular noise; didn't particularly bother us but sitting outside on the porch was noisy during the day.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a sofa bed which worked out well for 3 people. Pool and sitting area are wonderful. Property is located very close to Duval Street and is within walking distance of most attractions.

you had to climb three flights of stairs. no elevator. I think this is the way all the places were on the island.

Road noise

This was a great location within the sulking distance of most everything. Staff were exceptional and accommodating. Where else can you stay in a lovely room with an amazing porch complete with swing? Gardens also beautiful.It has character!

If you want to stay in the old town and do all by bike or walking this is the place to be. It is really really nice. I never write these comments with the exception of the place really is special and charming.

FYI: The stairs are steep if someone has a problem with their legs. Its was fine for me but maybe not for everyone.

Upgraded to the top floor suite. Loved the view and terrace. The pool, although small, was nice and warm, when the weather was not good for the beach. Mickie the handyman and Maria in reception were very pleasant.

Loved this oasis in Key West. Great location enough away from Duval to be secluded but still walkable to everything. 2 blocks from Marina, 5 min to Duval or Mallory Square. Loved the bonus touch of a $5 coupon to a delicious bakery 2 blocks away. Favorite part of the hotel complex is the interior garden with lots of seating. Perfect for relaxing.
